ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION?
         Store Visits
ENTRANCE


• Most of the stores had Guards standing at the entrance to open the doors
  and welcome you inside. Celebrations though, had a closed door with no
  one to welcome.
• The windows were quite welcoming in almost all the stores
• The branding was big enough to be spotted and followed.
• Bata had an open door giving a sign of welcome in.
ENVIRONMENT

• Hemleys had a high ceiling, with bright
  colors combined together making the store
  look very colorful and lively, nursery rhymes
  playing on loud volume,mixed with noises of
  kids playing around. Looked like the finest
  toy store possible.
• Bata on the other side had white walls and
  decent ambience letting its products shine
  out and be centre of attraction.
• Archies had no color at all, and seemed
  totally filled with all sort of gift items and
  cards.
• Celebration being a very small store fallowed
  no scheme and pantaloons was highly
  crowded and filled with noises of mass
  public.
PERSONNEL




• Since all are equally aware of the role store personnel
  plays in making and retaining customers hence all of
  the stores had people welcoming the customers,
  ready with a helping hand wherever needed.
PRODUCTS

• Hamleys being a toy store had demonstrations for all possible toys, letting
  kids use the products themselves.
• Both Pantaloons and Meena Bazaar had trial rooms for helping select the
  outfits.
• Archies and celebrations had everything in display.
• Meena Bazaar did not have proper sections for different kind of ethnic
  wear, which made product search and choice a little tough.
• Apart from Meena Bazaar all stores had impulse items placed right next to
  the cash counter, like the bubble guns in Hemleys.
CUSTOMERS


• Depending on the kind of store the customers widely varied.
• While Hamleys had mostly families with young kids visiting
  together, Archies and Celebration had a crowd of youths.
• Meena Bazaar had all aged rich sophisticated women, spending their
  husbands/dads money, while pantaloons had a mixed crowd being a one
  stop family store.
• People who came did buy one or the other thing, though their was a fine
  mix of window shoppers too, who were their for a little fun.
