Milestones How I internalize that Ambition I want this Confidence I can do this Work quality I get things done Collaborative skills I play nice with others Getting trusted I have proven that I am able to deliver Resilience and Maturity Knock me down, I get up again Resilience and Maturity I don't take things personally Resilience and Maturity I don't gossip nor do I play favoritism. I don't get more emotional than others Resilience and Maturity I handle pressure well. And no drama.

Getting promoted What does not work when you are talking to people more senior than you Does not work Because I work hard Everyone works hard here I am talented If you weren’t talented you wouldn’t be here I work here already 2 years It’s not about years, it’s about contributions I have the right to be promoted You do not have such a right. Nobody has. My work is OK because I met my MBOs It is all about exceeding expectations. Go above & beyond. Just being Effective is not a trigger for promotions. People in department X get promoted sooner Are you sure? You can’t easily compare.You don’t have all the information.This is a deflection from how you meet / exceed expectations. I need the money We could all use more.This displays a lack of understanding on how promotions work and how organizations are run.
