To whom it may concern,
Ricardo Calado
Ricardo has taught mathematics at St. Dominic’s for several years and has taught the
International Baccalaureate specifications including the Middle Years’ Programme as well as
the Diploma Programme.
He teaches with skill and enthusiasm, planning his lessons carefully and is very reflective on
his practice, assessing the effectiveness of his teaching and seeking and accepting advice from
colleagues.
He is popular with students who have full confidence in his ability to maximise their potential
and exam success.
His contribution to the Faculty is considerable. He is an excellent member of the team, willing
to share his expertise with colleagues with less experience, including myself, with the IB
requirements. He accepts responsibility readily and has an extremely positive attitude to new
challenges and demands of his time.
His subject knowledge is extensive and I would have no hesitation in giving him responsibility
for key exam groups including the Higher Level of the IB Diploma.
His attendance and punctuality is exemplary and he always succeeds in meeting deadlines,
showing excellent time management by prioritising his responsibilities in a professional
manner.
Although I would be extremely sad to see Ricardo leave my team, honesty demands that I
recommend him to any future employee who can further his ambitions and career
advancement.
