Pls 'plus' proposal
1. Program Objectives
PL+S (pronounced ‘plus’) aims to provide students from the various campuses of the PSHS
System with an opportunity to interact with each other, exchange experiences, share
insights, and collaborate on unique leadership challenges that will help them grow as student
leaders with a passion for excellence, service and change.
Design Objectives
Though the program, the participants of PL+S will be provided opportunities to:
a. Share their experiences and learn about the various campus cultures and challenges
throughout the PSHS System.
b. Listen to and interact with PSHS alumni student leaders who have gone on to make a
difference in their respective fields.
c. Develop a project or initiative that responds to a pressing concern in their school
and/or local communities.
d. Form a network of leaders who learn from each other and work together to enrich
each other’s lives, schools, and leadership experiences.
2. Our Participants
For PL+S Batch 1, we invite the incoming Student Alliance officers for SY 2012-2013.
We will communicate online with our participants in order to know them beforehand and
tailor our activities appropriately. (We need a profile of our attendees.)
We will design a program that balances hard and soft skills. We want them to truly bond
and draft a real, workable project proposal.
Building on the feedback we get, we can eventually open up PL+S to various student leaders.
