Individuals create friendships, bonds, and relationships in society to strengthen not only that
individual's social cohesion, but the social cohesion of the collective community. Social cohesion is
used to maintain the structure and integrity of a society. There are many aspects of society which
draw individuals and groups, either closer, or further away from other individuals or groups.
However, many times social cohesion depends heavily on the act of inclusion and exclusion of
certain individuals from a given society or community. Exclusion or inclusion depends greatly on
financial status and resources an individual has. In recent years researchers have seen variant

In general, social cohesion is created through means of communication amongst a society, along with

so long, equality between men and women would have occurred ages ago. In my vision of society
an individual's sex would not inhibit one from fully participating in the activities of the community
that he or she desired. The burden of childbirth for women would still be present but after the child
was born, men would play a more prominent role in the tasks of raising his son or daughter. Sharing
the benefits and burdens of child–rearing responsibilities will allow both the male and female to
maintain steady employment and balance their schedules to make time for family and a career.

An average reader loves a good scandal, especially something to do with anyone in the public eye

about is their private life and just how they live, and this puts pressure on the media to travel
further to gather stories. An increase in the "paparazzi" has led to a great deal of pressure being

was changing quickly and the long–established traditions of the agricultural eras did not apply to life
in the larger cities. Masses of people were moving to new places and often found themselves faced
with horrible conditions of filth, overcrowding, and poverty. Social scientists came to study the
relationship between the individual members of society and society as a whole. Although the
introduction of new technology at the end of the 19th century ended the industrial age, much of our

Postindustrial societies are a recent development. Unlike industrial societies that are rooted in the
production of material goods, postindustrial societies are based on the production of information
and services. Digital technology is the steam engine of postindustrial societies, and computer

Since the economy of postindustrial societies is driven by knowledge and not material goods,
