2. Gender “Dumb Blondes” are shown in the media as typically simple and ditsy. Macho Man; a physically fit and strong man, often not showing any emotion “Housewife” a woman often shown with no use but being a housewife. They’re often portrayed as the “Damsel in distress” where the appearance of them is the main focus… This picture shows a stereotypical attractive dumb blonde and she looks as if she’s using her looks to sway others because she may lack intelligence. These characters are sometimes the hero but they’re physically fit. The picture shows a macho man typically a body builder or wrestler. This stereotype character has the mentality that violence is the answer to everything. This cartoon picture is a typical stereotype of a housewife who stays at home while the man is at work earning money. This is a classic picture of modernism because this image is decresing although still around.
3. Businessman Teenage Rebel Geek Businessmen are usually shown with a briefcase or working at a desk such as the picture shows. He wears a suit and tie to show the formal nature of his job Typical teenage rebels are portrayed as wearing alternative clothes and boys often have long hair and some piercings or tattoos. This is all to show their lack of conformity and disregard for authority “Geek” is a widely accepted slang term used to describe a youth who behaves and always works hard in school. They’re often shown with disadvantages such as braces, glasses etc. The picture shows an extreme stereotype.
4. Sexuality Gay man Lesbian Nymphomaniac Gay men in the media are shown as extremely camp and emotional. They wear slightly more feminine clothes and usually have a ring earring. Lesbians in the media are shown as easy, sometimes sporty and slightly masculine in their characteristics. They are often eager if they think another girl feels the same as in the picture. Nymphomaniacs or sex addicts are seen as perverts and always trying to get sex. The picture shows an extreme character of this sexuality; Quagmire.

Sexuality (2) Stud Virgin A stud is a young adult male who always get the girls but is often not portrayed as such a ‘nice guy’ This character is not shown as very obviously desperate but as a teenage girl, this person is always saying they have a new crush or boyfriend and are clearly under the pressures of teen life.
