Presentation and interactions(there will be a
sign up list), starting on 5th October with the
presentations.
5. Develop communication in many situations and
functions (expressing opinions, agreeing and
disagreeing, emphasizing, speculating, showing
wishes and regrets, making hypothesis, guessing,
suggesting, persuading, narrating and describing,
complaining, presenting a topic, reviewing).
Speak and improve fluency and accuracy
Read texts (authentic books, internet, newspapers)
Listen (interviews, YouTube, radio, news, TV,
documentary extracts)
Write (essays, persuasive essays, expressing an
opinion, articles, narrating stories, summarizing,
proposals, informal and formal letters (complaint
letters),book and film reviews and reports, use of
discourse markers to link ideas)
6. Review grammar (tenses, modals,
pronouns, prepositions, adjectives,
articles, determiners and quantifiers,
types of sentences (conditional, relative,
contrast, result, reason, purpose, etc.),
complementation patterns in sentences,
gerunds and infinitives, reporting verbs
and reported speech.
Review and learn vocabulary (new idioms
and phrasal verbs, compound words,
dependent prepositions, collocations).
8. At least, one book adapted book or an
original book
One book review will be done about it:
to be submitted on Aula Virtual by 15th
February 2023.
9. 1) 1 oral presentation (5 minutes related to
any topic from a list you can find on Aula
Virtual)/1 oral interaction (given by me)
They will be done by videoconference on
Thursdays. There will be a list to sign up for
that, one pair each Thursday.
2) Article, entry, review, etc. for school
magazine (voluntary)
11. OBLIGATORY

work online: no “evaluación de
progreso”, can only do exam in
“convocatoria extraordinaria”
16. Now you are in, to be able to work, you will
have to register in the course, using the
enrolment code: B22023. You have to enter
the code at the top or whenever you try to
do an activity, for example, when you try to
participate in the “forum”
Meanwhile, you can enter as a guest.
17. Continuous assessment: through work in class,
written assignments, oral tasks, etc.
1st term: personal progress report by email
(from 20th to 24th November)
2nd term: exam (40% final mark): 22nd Febrary
(oral);27th February (written)/29th February
(mediation and oral)
3rd term: exam (60% final mark): 25th April
(oral/9th May-if necessary) 7th May (written)
AVERAGE: will be mark for “evaluación
ordinaria”
18. Two many classes have been missed.
One or more parts have been failed in
“convocatoria ordinaria”
Only failed parts will be retaken
19. The exams will consist of five parts:
A minimum of 5 (out of 10) must be obtained in each part. If the
total averages 5, the course will be passed (promocionado). You
need to get a mínimum of 4 in each part in the May exams.
In Convocatoria Extraordinaria in May, only the skills that
haven’t been passed must be retaken.
The exams will include these five parts but will be shorter than
“Prueba de Certificación”

20. Included in the course
To be announced (end of May, any time in June)
The exam will consist of five parts:
A minimum of 6.5 (out of 10) must be obtained in
each part. It’s possible to get 5 in some parts, but the
FINAL AVERAGE must be 6.5 in order to pass “Prueba de
Certificación” and obtain the official certificate
If in one or more parts less that 5 is obtained, it’s a fail
and no average can be made.

Check our Aula Virtual
22. Listen to the radio in English, watch series
and films in English, talk to native English
Speakers, read newspapers, magazines,
books in English, go to the school’s library.
Come to class.

Deadline for deregister in the course
(Anulación Matrícula oficial) is one month
before the end of the course. You can also
“renunciar a promoción” by this date.
“Renuncia” can be done in the next couple
of months, without any proof of anything.
YOU WILL NEVER GET YOUR MONEY BACK.

27. Please don’t leave us!
In October: “permuta”, look for another student
who wants to change with you (there is a list on
a notice board, steps to 1st floor) then go to
Secretaría and talk to the teachers
Later: talk to the teacher of the class you want
to change to and go to Secretaría.
