4. MAIN POSTER
SAVING LIVES
The people that save animals
from people that abuse,
animals becoming stray, and
becoming sick, inspire me to
take a stand and do the same
so that all animals get a home.
With all the animals getting hurt
or sick, they need a home. They
need a caring place to stay until
their strength is better. These
animals deserve better then
what these hurt animals are
treated today. They are as
important as people.

Baskerville is a "transitional" typeface, designed by
John Baskerville in England in the mid-18th century,
revived in the early 20th century and widely used for
books and other long texts. Many versions are
available.
A long running serif font first designed by William Caslon
in 1722 and used extensively throughout the British
Empire in the early eighteen century.!
Used for the U.S. Declaration of Independence, but fell
out of favor soon after. It continues to be a standard in
typography to this day.
Firmin Didot
1811
It was first designed by Giambattisa Bodoni in 1798 and is
generally considered a transitional font type. Bodoni was a prolific
type font designer and this particular font was highly influenced by
the work of John Baskerville, a designer whose work Bodoni
followed.

Times New Roman is a serif typeface commissioned by the British
newspaper The Times in 1931, created by Victor Lardent at the English
branch of Monotype. It was commissioned after Stanley Morison had
written an article criticizing The Times for being badly printed and
typographically antiquated.

1931
The typeface was designed at the Monotype foundry's in-house
design studio in 1934. Rockwell is geometric, its
upper- and lowercase O more of a circle than an ellipse. A
serif at the apex of uppercase A is distinct. The lowercase
a is two-story, somewhat incongruous for a geometrically
drawn typeface.

Palatino is the name of a large typeface family that began as an old style serif
typeface designed by Hermann Zapf initially released in 1948 by the Linotype

1955
The typeface was designed by Howard
"Bud" Kettler in 1955, and it was later
redrawn by Adrian Frutiger for the IBM
Selectric Composer series of electric
typewriters.!
Although the design of the original Courier
typeface was commissioned by IBM, the
company deliberately chose not to secure
legal exclusivity to the typeface and it soon
became a standard font used throughout
the typewriter industry.

Verdana is a humanist sans-serif typeface designed by Matthew Carter for
Microsoft Corporation, with hand-hinting done by Thomas Rickner, then at
Monotype. Demand for such a typeface was recognized by Virginia Howlett
of Microsoft's typography group. The name "Verdana" is based on verdant
something green, and Ana, the name of Howlett's eldest daughter.
