• When you ask about the “object” of a verb (a
time, a place, the beneficiary of an action …)
we use the auxiliary verb do/does/did +
infinitive
What time do you usually get home?
What music do you like?
Where does she live?
Who did she meet?

• When we ask about the “subject” of a verb
(who does the action?) we don’t use an
auxiliary do/does or did
