  • 2. Object questions • When you ask about the “object” of a verb (a time, a place, the beneficiary of an action …) we use the auxiliary verb do/does/did + infinitive What time do you usually get home? What music do you like? Where does she live? Who did she meet?

  • 4. Subject questions • When we ask about the “subject” of a verb (who does the action?) we don’t use an auxiliary do/does or did Who painted Mona Lisa? How many people live near the school? Who wants a cup of coffee? What happened?

  • 6. Who did the blonde girl phone? Qw A S I The blonde girl phoned her mum Who phoned the blonde girl? Qw/S V Her boyfriend phoned her
