The end of 2019 set the beginning of what would become a life-changing experience for virtually everyone worldwide in the following one year. When COVID-19 first struck in Wuhan China, nobody speculated that the disease would later spread across the globe, killing millions of people and negatively impacting the livelihood of the affected. Other than the deaths that the disease has brought upon innocent people, their governments across the nations have implemented stringent policies to help curb the spread, such as national lockdowns, closure of schools and other institutions, curfews, and other strict rules, all intended to prevent the infection rates. These government intervention measures had a huge economic, social, and personal impact on people and led to other problems, including but not limited to mental health.
Surprisingly, the disease was affecting different nations on varying intensities. For example, back in March 2020 COVID deaths in Italy were ranging above 700 on a daily basis while during the same time, there were very few cases and deaths in Africa (Di Lorenzo & Di Trolio, 2020; Onder et al., 2020). There were speculations that upon reaching Africa, COVID would lead to very high infection and mortality rates due to the poor healthcare systems and the relatively low economic status of most African countries. However, this turned out to be wrong as to date, the developed countries such as the USA, UK, and other European countries have the largest numbers of COVID cases and deaths (Bamgboye et al., 2020).

Population study typically refers to a study of a group of individuals that is taken from the general population, have similar characteristics, for example, health condition, sex or age. There are several reasons for taking such studies related to such a specific group, and this may include the risk of contracting a disease or response to a drug. Examples of such study groups include school going age adolescents, newborn babies, pregnant women between the age of 20 and 40 years, aged population, among others.
Awareness and Knowledge of HIV and Other Sexually Transmitted Diseases among Adolescents of Age 14-24 Years
HIV, as well as other sexually transmitted diseases, constitutes the largest portion of health cases affecting the youths globally. Such diseases if not taken care of may lead to more complicated cases in future such as cancer, AIDS, infertility, among other cases. Such cases occur mostly in youths due to a vulnerability to which they are exposed to. And thus, there is need to create awareness as well as health education among such school-going adolescents so as to reduce these cases (Berglund, 2001).
Criteria for Inclusion
For this kind of study group, it should include all school attending students of ages between 14 years and 24 years, should be conducted and published between 1990 and 2015, be a cross-sectional studies, the studies should focus on knowledge as well as awareness of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases among the adolescents, and lastly the studies should have measurement of knowledge or awareness (Health protection Surveillance Centre, 2005).
Exclusion Criteria
The exclusion criteria should include case reports, non-specific risk groups (such as the drug users, homosexuals, etc.), studies that seek to evaluate intervention programs, review, expert opinions, editorials, letters, and studies that are mainly on sexual activities and or behaviors.
The study group should be chosen randomly and be done majorly by targeting the institutions of learning where there is a normal distribution of such youths. In this manner, the results obtained will likely be accurate since the equal distribution represents the reality about the population.
Risk Factors: Health risk factors includes young adolescents who are exposed to sex and possess little knowledge and awareness concerning safe sex. In targeting such population, it should be taken into account that there could be an increase in the number of infections facing adolescents of age between 14 and 18 years (World Health Organisation, 2001).

In addition, they require funding for the purchase of new, high-tech storage facilities, as the preservation of vaccines requires the usage of specific substances. Pharmaceutical businesses need funding for disease-related research and the installation of intricate systems for creating and monitoring vaccinations. In addition, they need cash to purchase huge, specialized storage containers so that vaccines are accessible everywhere. To provide vaccines to the public, health insurance companies require funding to meet the vaccine administration needs of their consumers.
Taking the financial demands of stakeholders into account when making decisions about low adult immunization rates can assist assure optimal vaccine supply and distribution, enhanced following and monitoring requirements, and vaccine availability. Consideration of the requests will result in shared provider contacts and public-private partnerships, which will speed up adult immunization.

Chronic conditions may be difficult to manage based on the complexities of a disease. Additionally, managing one or more chronic conditions may be time consuming. Time consuming tasks may take the form of monitoring (e.g. checking blood glucose), keeping a diary, scheduling appointments, sorting and taking medications, exercising, meal planning, etc.. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (2015) suggests the burden of these tasks significantly impact how patients manage their chronic conditions, and that patients often find it difficult to complete all these tasks in order to manage their condition effectively. Personally, I see examples of this every day at the hospital: Patients are not confident in their self-management ability and are therefore unable to demonstrate skill or awareness in regards to their condition. Despite receiving adequate medical attention from outstanding multidisciplinary teams, patients continue to show little interest in self-management, ultimately resulting in an overwhelming number of older adults who lack the confidence to manage one or more chronic conditions (Bodenheimer, 2005). Healthcare providers are being forced to seek new and innovative ways to connect with patients and reinforce educational material in order to give patients the confidence and skill to manage their care. I believe this objective to be most important because self-management is clinically proven to result in better outcomes. It is proven that support for patients and caregivers improve confidence in managing conditions. Recently, my hospital has added to its emphasis on education and follow up... Simply providing information to patients is not enough to build confidence, skill, nor the knowledge to manage their health. Therefore, nursing must collaborate to reinforce behaviors and promote better health outcomes in patients.

Scope of the Problem
Vaccines have done an excellent job at preventing many diseases, some of which can be deadly if not prevented. When bacteria or viruses enter the body, they immediately begin to attack and multiply, which then causes an infection. The immune system will then fight off the infection and establish antibodies, which will help recognize and fight off the same disease in the future. For this very reason, it has been important for children to be vaccinated at an early age so that they may establish those antibodies their bodies need. Vaccines act as the disease so that the body may produce antibodies, but the good thing is that it won’t cause an infection (CDC, 2017).
There are current policies that mandate vaccinations in the U.S., for example, all children are required to be up to date on their vaccines before beginning school. The problem is that there are many loopholes and exceptions to the rule, whether it’s due to religious reasons or other medical issues. Because of this, there are still many children and adults who have yet to be fully compliant with vaccine requirements

· CDC estimated 2,700 new cases of hepatitis A in the U.S.
· It is estimated that in 2011, 19,000 new cases of hepatitis B and 17,000 cases of hepatitis C occurred.
· In 2012, nearly 10,000 new cases of tuberculosis were reported.
· Approximately 36,000 people per year die from influenza and pneumonia.
· 50,000 new cases of HIV infection occur annually.
· In 2012, new cases of STD’s were reported, including HPV, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV, and Syphilis.
Who is affected by this problem? Identify.
Children are mainly affected by this problem due to parents’ hesitancy for vaccinations. Although law mandates for children to be vaccinated for school enrollment, parents have the option to use exemptions to avoid having their children vaccinated. Currently, medical exemptions are allowed for medical reasons in all states, and it is estimated that one to three percent of children are excused from vaccinations because of these exemptions. Parents have continued to use reasons to avoid vaccinations, for example, the belief that the decline in vaccine-preventable diseases is due to improved health care, hygiene, and sanitation (Ventola, C. L., 2016).
Health disparities among Blacks, Hispanics, and Whites have played a huge role in terms of vaccination coverage. Studies have shown that health insurance has a direct impact on the vaccination coverage in adults, therefore, low-income families who can’t afford health insurance will most likely not get the vaccines they need. With that being said, uninsured prevalence was higher among non-Hispanic blacks (19.5%) and Hispanics (30.1%) compared with non-Hispanic whites (11.1%) (Lu, P., et al, 2015).

INTRODUCTION
The center for Disease, Control and Prevention (CDC) are a unique health organization with a unique mission. The CDC provide evidence-based medicine experience and assistance for domestic and global surveillance, laboratory, occupational health and epidemiology functions and health threats, such as the CoVID-19, infectious diseases, influenza etc. The CDC’s office of public health in preparedness and Response (OPHPR) provide strategic directions, support and coordination for activities across CDC as well as local, state, tribal, national, territorial and international public health partners (CDC, 2019).
Over the years, the CDC has developed a working and effective plan to tackle infectious diseases. A good example was the global response to the 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic that affected more than 214 countries and territories. The CDC’s response at the time, was the most rapid and effective response to an influenza pandemic in history. Through an international donation program, the vaccine was made available to 86 countries. The experience of the2009 H1N1 influenza response, continues to inform preparedness efforts for other future pandemic and public health emergencies. However, federal and state budget cuts threaten the kind of success previously seen, as is evident during this current COVID-19 pandemic. The current presidential administration, shortly after being sworn in made some serious changes that affected the CDC’S response to the pandemic by getting rid of the teams put in place to tackle pandemics this greatly slowed the U’S’s response and lead to a wider spread of this virus. Also, innovation and creativity need to be increased to best utilize existing funds.
VISON, MIISSION AND VALUES OF THE CDC
The vision of the CDC is to create a healthier, safer world that is able to detect prevent and respond to public health threats (CDC, 2019).
The mission statement is to protect all Americans and people of the nations worldwide from public health threats by working with partners to build capacity, advance research and respond in times of crisis like during this current COVID-19 pandemic (CDC, 2019).
The CDC provide technical help, assistance and resources to state and local public health agencies to support the efforts in building and preparing resilient communities (CDC,2011).
To achieve the vision of the CDC, it is vital that stakeholders as across, public health, partners, private sectors, emergency department and other related bodies, work hand in hand.
The CDC will demonstrate leadership in public health preparedness and response by adhering to the following values they have in place:

The client is a 34-year-old Pakistani female who moved to the United States in her late teens/early 20s. She is currently in an “arranged” marriage (her husband was selected for her since she was 9 years old). She presents to your office today following a 21 day hospitalization for what was diagnosed as “brief psychotic disorder.” She was given this diagnosis as her symptoms have persisted for less than 1 month.
Prior to admission, she was reporting visions of Allah, and over the course of a week, she believed that she was the prophet Mohammad. She believed that she would deliver the world from sin. Her husband became concerned about her behavior to the point that he was afraid of leaving their 4 children with her. One evening, she was “out of control” which resulted in his calling the police and her subsequent admission to an inpatient psych unit.
During today’s assessment, she appears quite calm, and insists that the entire incident was “blown out of proportion.” She denies that she believed herself to be the prophet Mohammad and states that her husband was just out to get her because he never loved her and wanted an “American wife” instead of her. She tells you that she knows this because the television is telling her so.
She currently weighs 140 lbs, and is 5’ 5”
SUBJECTIVE
Client reports that her mood is “good.” She denies auditory/visual hallucinations, but believes that the television does talk to her. She believes that Allah sends her messages through the TV. At times throughout the clinical interview, she becomes hostile towards the PMHNP, but then calms down.
You reviewed her hospital records and find that she has been medically worked up by a physician who reported her to be in overall good health. Lab studies were all within normal limits.
Client admits that she stopped taking her Risperdal about a week after she got out of the hospital because she thinks her husband is going to poison her so that he can marry an American woman.
MENTAL STATUS EXAM
The client is alert, oriented to person, place, time, and event. She is dressed appropriately for the weather and time of year. She demonstrates no noteworthy mannerisms, gestures, or tics. Her speech is slow and at times, interrupted by periods of silence. Self-reported mood is euthymic. Affect constricted. Although the client denies visual or auditory hallucinations, she appears to be “listening” to something. Delusional and paranoid thought processes as described, above. Insight and judgment are impaired. She is currently denying suicidal or homicidal ideation.
The PMHNP administers the PANSS which reveals the following scores:
-40 for the positive symptoms scale

Chronic conditions may be difficult to manage based on the complexities of a disease. Additionally, managing one or more chronic conditions may be time consuming. Time consuming tasks may take the form of monitoring (e.g. checking blood glucose), keeping a diary, scheduling appointments, sorting and taking medications, exercising, meal planning, etc.. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (2015) suggests the burden of these tasks significantly impact how patients manage their chronic conditions, and that patients often find it difficult to complete all these tasks in order to manage their condition effectively. Personally, I see examples of this every day at the hospital: Patients are not confident in their self-management ability and are therefore unable to demonstrate skill or awareness in regards to their condition. Despite receiving adequate medical attention from outstanding multidisciplinary teams, patients continue to show little interest in self-management, ultimately resulting in an overwhelming number of older adults who lack the confidence to manage one or more chronic conditions (Bodenheimer, 2005). Healthcare providers are being forced to seek new and innovative ways to connect with patients and reinforce educational material in order to give patients the confidence and skill to manage their care. I believe this objective to be most important because self-management is clinically proven to result in better outcomes. It is proven that support for patients and caregivers improve confidence in managing conditions. Recently, my hospital has added to its emphasis on education and follow up... Simply providing information to patients is not enough to build confidence, skill, nor the knowledge to manage their health. Therefore, nursing must collaborate to reinforce behaviors and promote better health outcomes in patients.
There are several vulnerable populations that have a chronic illness (older; homeless; and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender populations) that face challenges when it comes to care. Choose one vulnerable population and discuss what can be done to help alleviate these challenges.

Scope of the Problem
Vaccines have done an excellent job at preventing many diseases, some of which can be deadly if not prevented. When bacteria or viruses enter the body, they immediately begin to attack and multiply, which then causes an infection. The immune system will then fight off the infection and establish antibodies, which will help recognize and fight off the same disease in the future. For this very reason, it has been important for children to be vaccinated at an early age so that they may establish those antibodies their bodies need. Vaccines act as the disease so that the body may produce antibodies, but the good thing is that it won’t cause an infection (CDC, 2017).
There are current policies that mandate vaccinations in the U.S., for example, all children are required to be up to date on their vaccines before beginning school. The problem is that there are many loopholes and exceptions to the rule, whether it’s due to religious reasons or other medical issues. Because of this, there are still many children and adults who have yet to be fully compliant with vaccine requirements
Some important statistics to note (Johns Hopkins Medicine):
· CDC estimated 2,700 new cases of hepatitis A in the U.S.
· It is estimated that in 2011, 19,000 new cases of hepatitis B and 17,000 cases of hepatitis C occurred.
· In 2012, nearly 10,000 new cases of tuberculosis were reported.
· Approximately 36,000 people per year die from influenza and pneumonia.
· 50,000 new cases of HIV infection occur annually.
· In 2012, new cases of STD’s were reported, including HPV, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV, and Syphilis.
Who is affected by this problem? Identify.
Children are mainly affected by this problem due to parents’ hesitancy for vaccinations. Although law mandates for children to be vaccinated for school enrollment, parents have the option to use exemptions to avoid having their children vaccinated. Currently, medical exemptions are allowed for medical reasons in all states, and it is estimated that one to three percent of children are excused from vaccinations because of these exemptions. Parents have continued to use reasons to avoid vaccinations, for example, the belief that the decline in vaccine-preventable diseases is due to improved health care, hygiene, and sanitation (Ventola, C. L., 2016).
Health disparities among Blacks, Hispanics, and Whites have played a huge role in terms of vaccination coverage. Studies have shown that health insurance has a direct impact on the vaccination coverage in adults, therefore, low-income families who can’t afford health insurance will most likely not get the vaccines they need. With that being said, uninsured prevalence was higher among non-Hispanic blacks (19.5%) and Hispanics (30.1%) compared with non-Hispanic whites (11.1%) (Lu, P., et al, 2015).

INTRODUCTION
The center for Disease, Control and Prevention (CDC) are a unique health organization with a unique mission. The CDC provide evidence-based medicine experience and assistance for domestic and global surveillance, laboratory, occupational health and epidemiology functions and health threats, such as the CoVID-19, infectious diseases, influenza etc. The CDC’s office of public health in preparedness and Response (OPHPR) provide strategic directions, support and coordination for activities across CDC as well as local, state, tribal, national, territorial and international public health partners (CDC, 2019).
Over the years, the CDC has developed a working and effective plan to tackle infectious diseases. A good example was the global response to the 2009 H1N1 influenza pandemic that affected more than 214 countries and territories. The CDC’s response at the time, was the most rapid and effective response to an influenza pandemic in history. Through an international donation program, the vaccine was made available to 86 countries. The experience of the2009 H1N1 influenza response, continues to inform preparedness efforts for other future pandemic and public health emergencies. However, federal and state budget cuts threaten the kind of success previously seen, as is evident during this current COVID-19 pandemic. The current presidential administration, shortly after being sworn in made some serious changes that affected the CDC’S response to the pandemic by getting rid of the teams put in place to tackle pandemics this greatly slowed the U’S’s response and lead to a wider spread of this virus. Also, innovation and creativity need to be increased to best utilize existing funds.
VISON, MIISSION AND VALUES OF THE CDC
The vision of the CDC is to create a healthier, safer world that is able to detect prevent and respond to public health threats (CDC, 2019).
The mission statement is to protect all Americans and people of the nations worldwide from public health threats by working with partners to build capacity, advance research and respond in times of crisis like during this current COVID-19 pandemic (CDC, 2019).
The CDC provide technical help, assistance and resources to state and local public health agencies to support the efforts in building and preparing resilient communities (CDC,2011).
To achieve the vision of the CDC, it is vital that stakeholders as across, public health, partners, private sectors, emergency department and other related bodies, work hand in hand.

The client is a 34-year-old Pakistani female who moved to the United States in her late teens/early 20s. She is currently in an “arranged” marriage (her husband was selected for her since she was 9 years old). She presents to your office today following a 21 day hospitalization for what was diagnosed as “brief psychotic disorder.” She was given this diagnosis as her symptoms have persisted for less than 1 month.
Prior to admission, she was reporting visions of Allah, and over the course of a week, she believed that she was the prophet Mohammad. She believed that she would deliver the world from sin. Her husband became concerned about her behavior to the point that he was afraid of leaving their 4 children with her. One evening, she was “out of control” which resulted in his calling the police and her subsequent admission to an inpatient psych unit.
During today’s assessment, she appears quite calm, and insists that the entire incident was “blown out of proportion.” She denies that she believed herself to be the prophet Mohammad and states that her husband was just out to get her because he never loved her and wanted an “American wife” instead of her. She tells you that she knows this because the television is telling her so.
She currently weighs 140 lbs, and is 5’ 5”
SUBJECTIVE
Client reports that her mood is “good.” She denies auditory/visual hallucinations, but believes that the television does talk to her. She believes that Allah sends her messages through the TV. At times throughout the clinical interview, she becomes hostile towards the PMHNP, but then calms down.
You reviewed her hospital records and find that she has been medically worked up by a physician who reported her to be in overall good health. Lab studies were all within normal limits.
Client admits that she stopped taking her Risperdal about a week after she got out of the hospital because she thinks her husband is going to poison her so that he can marry an American woman.
MENTAL STATUS EXAM
The client is alert, oriented to person, place, time, and event. She is dressed appropriately for the weather and time of year. She demonstrates no noteworthy mannerisms, gestures, or tics. Her speech is slow and at times, interrupted by periods of silence. Self-reported mood is euthymic. Affect constricted. Although the client denies visual or auditory hallucinations, she appears to be “listening” to something. Delusional and paranoid thought processes as described, above. Insight and judgment are impaired. She is currently denying suicidal or homicidal ideation.
The PMHNP administers the PANSS which reveals the following scores:
-40 for the positive symptoms scale
-20 for the negative symptom scale
-60 for general psychopathology scale

MORE THAN A decade has passed since the introduction of what we know today as blockchain technology. Over that time,
the promise of what the technology could offer
businesses and industries has evolved from a
cryptocurrency payment platform to something
bigger, game-changing, and truly disruptive. In
recent years, we have seen sentiment about

Dealing with Two Populations
Inferential statistics involves forming conclusions about a population parameter. We do so by constructing confidence intervals and testing claims about a population mean and other statistics. Typically, these methods deal with a sample from one population. We can extend the methods to situations involving two populations (and there are many such applications). This deliverable looks at two scenarios.
Concept being Studied
Your focus is on hypothesis tests and confidence intervals for two populations using two samples, some of which are independent and some of which are dependent. These concepts are an extension of hypothesis testing and confidence intervals which use statistics from one sample to make conclusions about population parameters. What to Submit

Follow these steps when composing your essay:

ABSTRACT. Issues of privacy and employee health screen-
ing rank as two of the most important ethical concerns
organizations will face in the next five years. Despite the
increasing numbers of social scientists researching personal
privacy and the current focus on workplace privacy rights as
one of the most dynamic areas of employment law, the
concept of privacy remains relatively ahstract. Understand-
ing how the courts defme privacy and use the expectation of
privacy standards is paramount given the strategic impor-
tance of the law as a legal socializing agent. This article
reports on two federal court decisions involving employer
drug and HIV testing whose determinations relied on
assumptions about the psychological dimensions of privacy.
How the courts define privacy, the outcome of this defini-
tion and the ethical ramifications as it affects the employee/
employer relationship are discussed.

tests for office and clerical employees, medical
screening is the most widely used pre-employment
test in all major employment categories" (BNA,
1987). It is predicted that in the next five years
testing will become a standard requirement when
applying for employment and/or health and life
insurance (Rothstein, 1989).
Michele Simms, as an adjunct professor of business communication
and organizational behavior, has taught at the University of
Michigan, Wayne State University and Oakland University
schools of business in Michigan. In addition to teaching, she
consults in the areas of worksite wellness, alternative dispute
resolution, transition management and change.
One factor contributing to the increase in em-
ployee health screening is the development of drug
abuse and AIDS as socially compelling public health
concerns (Falco and Cikins, 1989) that are costly to
employers, thus leading to an increase and/or initia-
tion of drug and HIV testing in both private and
public sector employment. One concern associated
with health screening is the issue of privacy and the
parallel communication activity of self-disclosure
that is used to express and maintain privacy states.
The issues of privacy and testing involve the
fundamental conflict of ethical principles between
individual rights and public safety needs and are the
subject today of increasing legislative and judicial
activity. A peripheral ethical concern that has not
been addressed but of equal importance is whether
the psychological dimensions of privacy are ac-
knowledged in court decisions involving employer

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic Imperative
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
