Fine clothes, jewelry, and monuments like pyramids reflected the Pharaoh's high status. 3) After death, the Pharaoh would be mummified and buried in a magnificent tomb, as Egyptians believed they would continue living in the afterlife.

2. Responsibilities I am in charge of the practices of local government, trade, and religion. I am considered a god by everyone in my kingdom and all things belong to me. A large part of farmers crops are given to me as taxes. The meat, eggs, fruits, and olive oil are used to feed my family and servants. Loyal members of this group are chosen to serve close to my family and make their life one of ease and leisure. 5. Dress My clothes are made of the finest cloth that I can find. Servants keep them in perfect order so they can dress me for any occasion. I have fine jewelry that is crafted in my kingdom. 6. Burial I am a child of the sun god Ra who gives life to all the earth. Egyptians worship me all my life in this world. After my death, I will continue to live in the “Next World.” My servants will mummify my body and bury me in a magnificent tomb called a pyramid.
