3. EDC Working process – BIM Information Exchange
1.1 It is important to be able to distinguish each item from another item. To do this
we implement the following systems:
a) Adapted BSAB 96 system classification
b) The BSAB 96 is the basis along which systems are splits into different
classifications like heating and cooling. Within these classifications there
can be additional splits like return and supply. Each system will have a
colour scheme which distinguishes them from other systems.
1.2 The level of development is a measure of the information level of an object.
This project uses two LOD levels namely:
a) 200 the object consists of generalized systems or assemblies with
approximate size, shape, location and orientation.
b) 300 the object consists of generalized systems or assemblies with exact
size, shape, location and orientation.
