3. Style sheet
• The colours on the top are to represent earthy colours which I want to interpret in all
my products. This is because I am trying to show myself in my work and reflect the
mood and tone of the genre. The natural colours reflect the feeling of wilderness which
is the genre of my folk pop song. Because of this it will let the audience interpret what I
feel about the song.
• I want scruffy fonts to look like someone has scraped into wood or a stone as I have a
wild theme. This will then also carry the rawness I was wanting from my video the
connotes a more personal font.
• In my magazine double page spread I don’t want loads of pictures I just want one mid-
shot image and it will then be the main feature of the magazine and the writing will
then format around it. This ins a recognised convention I have seen through my
research the audience will expect this layout, it will also make it look professional and
organised.
• I want one of the shots to be edited into a half animal half human faces to symbolise
the wild. It also give a modern style that will appeal to most of my audience as it will
look fresh and creative. And the younger audience like things to look crisp and effective.
• I want there to be a cold vintage crushed colour on the first part and go to warmer
colours after. This will then create and reflect the mood for the song and carry out
emotions through changing of colours.
5. Layout 2
WILDERNESS
RACHEL-MARIE
The paw prints are to signify the
wild and the animals this
connotes that the song is about
been a strong person as the paw
are all of big powerful animals.
This represents a sun set like
you would find in the savannah
Title to look like it is messy
and stick like to connote
rawness and fear.
Text
about the
song
(standing idea if I
have time) Back of
the cd
I will use the paws and
draw over them with a
pencil on Photoshop so
that I don’t copyright
the actual picture and
is classed as my own
work.
6. Story Boards
I will be sat in a room with
a sofa and a cat or dog
depending on what I can
get to resemble the wild
this will connote that I
have power over the
animal which shows I am
more powerful.
Shots of me and my friends
in the street just socialising
to show a normal life that
links in with the fact the
song is about making
friends
Shots in the actual open
area to show space and
freedom and would be in an
area where animals will be.
8. Contingency problem How you would solve it?
if I lose work in any way Try and have a look, if not found go to IT and see if they can
find it. If nothing is founded look on your home computer
or memory sticks you have to see if any of your work is
saved on there and go on from there.
If I lose memory stick and it cannot be found Check everywhere for you stick and if not found approach
IT or the tutors to see if they have any of your work and go
from there to complete the work you lost again. Try and
make sure to save your work on other things not just one
stick
If I cant email my tutor my work Give your memory stick to your tutor so they can take it
from there if it is on a H-drive go to IT to see if they can
email the work for you or put it onto your memory stick.
if the computer turns off and you haven't save your work Keep saving your work every five minutes that way you
don’t lose too much work in between the time you have
saved them if you do not then you will have to start again.
Save your work on many other things
If the memory stick has become corrupt in any way Go to IT and see if they can access it in anyway to put it on
some other for of drive or un corrupt it if this isn’t possible
check your tutors will have some of your work and then you
will be able to try again
If my project is not exporting Give your memory stick to a tutor to see if it will let them
export on there computer if not go to IT to see if they can
sort something out as it might just be a computer issue.
Contingency planning
9. Potential issues How will this issue be avoided ?
could get wrist strain from not supporting wrist Make sure you sit in the right position keep your wrists balanced
on the deck and don’t sit too far away from the desk so your
wrists are not hanging on the edge.
You could get electric shock Keep water or liquids away from the computer and monitor only
drink water outside the classroom. If you see any faulty wires
don’t touch them and alert tutors so they can sort it out.
if you don’t sit right you could get a bad back from bad posture Sit on your chair with legs underneath keep back straight and chin
lifted. Put your chair at the right height so your feet are not
dangling or your knees aren't too high but that your feet are flat
and knees horizontal.
could get Eye strain If you require glasses wear them often so that your eyes can be at
the right level so there not constently adjusting to the screen, if
you don’t it will hurt your eyes. Also if the screen is too bright or
too close move it further away and turn the brightness down,
especially if your on the computer long periods of time.
staring at the monitor can cause headache migraines Try to take often breaks so your eyes and brain can have time to
relax and rest again make sure screens are not too bright or close
and if migraines do appear take medication and take a rest to stop
it from progressing to something worse.
Lose wires and chairs can cause trip hazard Keep chairs and tables tucked in and out of way and wires pinned
back out the way under the desks. If you see any lose wires tell a
tutor so they can sort the issue out
