2. Burns
• Put the burn under cold water for 10 minutes
• Loosely cover the burn with cling film or a
plastic bag
• If clothing is stuck to the wound to not try to
pull it off and do not burst any blisters
3. Choking
• Apply the haemic maneuver
• If necessary call an ambulance or take them
to the hospital
4. Heavy Bleeding
• Cover the wound with whatever you can and
apply pressure until help arrives
5. Broken Bones
• Encourage the person to support the injury
with their hand or if possible provide them
with a cushion, item of clothing or pillow to
support it..
6. Head Injury
• If there is any bleeding
be sure to firmly press
a clean cloth on the
wound and apply
pressure
• If it is serious be careful
not to move their head
• If they are vomiting roll
them into the recovery
position to avoid
choking
