Definition time…
 "In general, an ePortfolio is a purposeful collection of
information and digital artifacts that demonstrates
development or evidences learning outcomes, skills or
competencies. The process of producing an ePortfolio
(writing, typing, recording etc.) usually requires the
synthesis of ideas, reflection on achievements, self-
awareness and forward planning; with the potential for
educational, developmental or other benefits. Specific types
of ePortfolios can be defined in part by their purpose (such
as presentation, application, reflection, assessment and
personal development planning), pedagogic design, level of
structure (intrinsic or extrinsic), duration (episodic or life-
long) and other factors."

 Don’t have to go to the detail page to view artefact

 Now blog entries trigger watchlist notifications

 And you can sort the group pages block by ‘last updated’
 Add recent forum posts to the dashboard

 It is now much easier to embed images in textfields
 Images and other artefacts can have their own feedback
 Sending messages is now made a lot easier (and you can use bb code)
 Drag and drop works on a touchscreen (mobile)
 You can now Remove pages from watchlist easily
 Groups can now have journals
 Institution journals - Institution journals allow you to create a journal template and then copy that
into user accounts for example. They also allow you to create a news blog for your institution.
 Bootstrap theme- very mobile friendly
 You can now sort shared and submitted pages and collections
 Trigger notification when new journal added to a page (if add page to watchlist selected)
 Better font resolution

 “Display page” button instead of “Done” at the bottom of a page
 “Edit” button directly on group homepage
 Lesser used page functionality now accessible via a dropdown (…) e.g. add to watchlist
 Rename ‘Edit this group ‘ button on group homepage to ‘Settings’
 Reply directly to a comment on a page
 See shared collections in ‘Shared with me’ area under collections
 Threaded comments
 The word ‘comments’ and ‘feedback’ now merged to ‘Comments’ in 15.10
 Watched pages block – on your dashboard – can now view the owner
 Have now allowed multiple journals for users by default
 Mahara droid is now in version 2 - the mobile Mahara app has been updated and works with our
version
 View a plan on a portfolio page with tags
 Plan description is also now visible on a portfolio page
