2. Today was a very exciting day
in Mrs. Maine’s first period
Biology class. Jamie Bush and I
found out we are going to be the
parents of a Japanese Medaka
Egg. We decided to name it
Jamaal. We are now ready to
take on this big responsibility.
Let the parenting begin. .
3. Day 1
On day one the of development of somites >
Jamaal was just a little baby still in his
egg, he was in stage 12. We were very
wrong about our stage because we
couldn’t see the structures at first but
once we did, we determined that he was
in stage 17. Stage 17 is when he is
fertilized.

huge jump over the past 24

Day 3, Jamaal heartbeat was

had pink blood flow which is a ^ Urinary
very good sign in terms of his
development. He is in stage Bladder

Jamaal should be hatching in
the next few days, yay.
7. Jamaal’s heart was beating like crazy today
at 136 beats her minute! The blood looked
a little darker in color. He is in stage 29. As
you can see, several of his organs are
visible as well.
