2. The nucleus
houses the
genetic material,
Nucleus
which is the brain
of the cell.
We used a
mushroom to
represent the
nucleus because it
has the same
circular shape and
it was easy to cut
to see the inside
(Nucleolus).

3. Cell Membrane
The crust represents
the cell membrane.
We used crust
because it is a thin
layer.
The function of the
cell membrane is to
allow things to go into
the cell, and block
things from entering
the cell.

4. Mitochondria
The mitochondria breaks
down food and releases
energy to the cell.
We used pepperoni for
the Mitochondria
because the inside of
the peperoni looks like
the inside of the
mitochondria. They
both have what looks
like squiggly lines in
the middle

5. The Golgi Body
packages and Golgi Body
secrets energy.
We used pineapple for
the Golgi Body because
it is easy to stack and
form them to look like
the Golgi Body.

7. Smooth E.R.
The Smooth E.R.
moves materials
around the cells. (No
ribosomes)
We used a green
pepper for the
Smooth E.R.
because we can
use the outside of
the pepper to
show how shiny
and smooth it is
because it has no
ribosomes.

8. Rough E.R.
The Rough E.R.
moves things
throughout the
cell.
We used the
inside of a
green pepper to
represent the
Rough E.R.
because it has
the bumpiness
to represent
the ribosomes

9. Cytoskeleton
The function of the
Cytoskeleton is to protect
Against wear and tear.

10. Ribosomes
The
Ribosomes
make the
protein for
the cell.
We used
shredded cheese
to represent the
ribosomes.

11. Nuclear Membrane
The Nuclear Membrane function
is that it is a double-layered
Membrane that encloses the
nucleus of the cell that controls
what enters and leaves the
nucleus.
We used the outer part of
the mushroom because
since the mushroom itself
represents the nucleus, the
outer part of it would represent
Nuclear Membrane
the Nuclear Membrane.

13. Nucleolus
The nucleolus
contains RNA.
We cut open the
mushroom to show the
inside of the Nucleus.
We did this because we
could see inside the
black part in the
middle.

14. Cytoplasm
The cytoplasm fills the inter
of the cell.
We used sauce as the
Cytoplasm because it
fills up the model, and
it is the empty space;
Like how it is in a cell.
