Aryabhata is one of the most renowned Indian
Mathematicians, in fact, one of the firsts. Born in the
Gupta era . He was known for his extraordinary
knowledge in the astronomical field. He has written
treaties in both mathematics and astronomy. He was
author of many mathematical books which to date is
considered holy and reverend immensely. Many of his
were lost, but some are still available for modern
hold great credibility. And his inventions, discoveries
contributions have brought pride to our country.

IT IS FAIRLY CERTAIN THAT, AT SOME POINT, HE
WENT TO KUSUMAPURA FOR ADVANCED STUDIES
AND LIVED THERE FOR SOME TIME. BOTH HINDU
AND BUDDHIST TRADITION, AS WELL AS BHASKARA
I, IDENTIFY KUSUMAPURA AS PATALIPUTRA,
MODERN PATNA. A VERSE MENTIONS THAT
ARYABHATA WAS THE HEAD OF AN INSTITUTION AT
KUSUMAPURA, AND, BECAUSE THE UNIVERSITY OF
NALANDA WAS IN PATALIPUTRA AT THE TIME AND
HAD AN ASTRONOMICAL OBSERVATORY, IT IS
SPECULATED THAT ARYABHATA MIGHT HAVE BEEN
THE HEAD OF THE NALANDA UNIVERSITY AS WELL.
ARYABHATA IS ALSO REPUTED TO HAVE SET UP AN
OBSERVATORY AT THE SUN TEMPLE IN

FIELD OF MATHEMATICS :-

Zero :-
The origin of zero in India came
from well-known astronomer and
mathematician of his time,
Aryabhatta . The well-known
scientist used zero as a
placeholder number. In the 5th
century, Aryabhatta introduced
zero in the decimal number
system and hence, introduced it in
maths.
Place Value System :-
Place value in Maths describes
the position or place of a digit
in a number. Each digit has a
place in a number. When we
represent the number in general
form, the position of each digit
will be expanded. Those
positions start from a unit place
or we also call it one's position.

FIELD OF MATHEMATICS :-

Algebra :-
Trignometry :-
Trigonometry, as the name
might suggest, is all about
triangles. More specifically,
trigonometry is about right-
angled triangles, where one of
the internal angles is 90°.
Trigonometry is a system that
helps us to work out missing or
unknown side lengths or angles
in a triangle.
Algebra is the branch of
mathematics that helps in the
representation of problems or
situations in the form of
mathematical expressions. It
involves variables like x, y, z,
and mathematical operations
like addition, subtraction,
multiplication, and division to
form a meaningful
mathematical expression.
