Manage Business Configuration. This is used to configure
the HR Data Structures.
New fields and picklists can be added.
Fields can be set to hidden or view only.

HR data (personal and employment).

Use this functionality to export a large number of
employee data

Manager Self Service: Take Action – Change Job and
Compensation Information.
The manager or the HR Administrator with the permission
can use this feature to change HR data.

Mass Changes allow changes to job information or job
relationships for multiple employees simultaneously.
Typical scenarios are: office location change, corporate
restructuring, assigning a new manager.

Configure Object Defintion to create a MDF (Meta Data Framework)
Object such as a Picklist or change an existing object such as cost
center, business unit, etc.
or an object such as a tuition reimbursement or employee
assets object.
Make Correction to an existing MDF Object in Configure Object
Defintion.

With Manage Data you can populate or manage existing MDF
Objects with data, such as making a correction to existing data or
for example add a new cost center.

Import and Export Data is used if a larger number of
data in MDF objects need to change. For example import
and Export Data is used to upload new cost centers.9

Monitor Job
See when downloads and uploads are completed or have
Failed. You need Monitor Job to download exports of MDF
Objects data.

Following Data Models in XML File Format are used:
• Corporate Data Model
• Country Specific Corporate Data Model
• Succession Data Model
• Country Specific Succession Data Model
• HRIS Propagation XML File
You can change certain Foundation Objects like location
only via XML, for example if you want to add a new field
or change the label.

Import Foundation Data is used for example if you need
to add a lot of data to the foundation objects such as pay
range or pay grade, etc. There is no export function for these
Objects. For import you need to download a blank csv
template first. If you need to extract existing data for these
objects you need to build a report.
Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structure, is used to
populate certain foundation object like location with data.12
