Puffins are small sea birds that live in the North Atlantic Ocean. They have a chunky body and colorful feathers that make them look like they are wearing a tuxedo. Puffins eat small fish and zooplankton that they can carry up to 30 of in their mouths. They get their food in groups. Male puffins will attack other seabirds that get too close to protect their family, and their predators include black-backed gulls and humans who sometimes eat puffins. Puffins build nests where the female lays 1 to 5 eggs, and it takes 40 to 43 days for them to hatch.
