Since 1966 Desjoyaux has exerted its influence over the swimming pool market, and its network
continues to grow thanks to the recruitment of new dealers. Interview with the manager of the
French network, Olivier Chambe.
WhenJeanDesjoyaux builthisfirstpool backin1966, he had no ideathathe wasabout to create a
networkthatwould spearheadthe internationalmarket. DesjoyauxPoolsisnow establishedin 80
countriesandhas 155 storesin France alone.
"Our core businessistodesignandmanufacture in-groundpoolsthatare soldbyour networkof
dealersworldwide,"says OlivierChambe, Directorof the Frenchnetwork.
But Desjoyaux Poolsalsoprovidesseveraladditional servicesandproducts,includingall pool-related
equipment, suchas shelters,heatpumps andautomaticpool cleaningrobots, inadditionto
decorative products like lighting,gardenfurniture and children’sgames,etc.
Pools,a growth market
Withclose to 83,000 newpoolscreatedin 2016, France offersgreatopportunitiestoprofessionals in
the sector. "France is the second-largest market worldwide in terms of the number of pools
installed",recallsthe DesjoyauxDirector.Andthat’sgoodnews forthisleadingFrenchnetwork: "We
are outperforming compared to the market in general. Our turnover rose by more than 36% in
2016", adds Olivier Chambe.

2. To remainahead of the game,the networkis openingnew storesand istherefore on the lookout for
dealers all over France. "Desjoyaux Pools currently has 155 points of sale throughout the territory.
We are aiming for 180 by 2021", explains Olivier Chambe. To join the company, you need
management skills and must like the idea of being part of a network. A personal contribution of
€25,000 minimum is recommended.
