British Board Of Film Classification is a non-
governmental organization, founded by the film
industry in 1912 and responsible for the national
classification and censorship of films within the
United Kingdom.

A film distributor is a company or

industries and has a Code of Practice
designed to ensure that both industries
show a duty of care in their dealings with
customers and the public generally. It
provides its retailer members with a staff
training course dealing with age restricted
videos, DVDs and video games.

Office For Communication is the
government-approved regulatory and
competition authority for the
broadcasting, telecommunications and
postal industries of the United Kingdom.
7. Trading Standards Central
Trading Standards Central is the name given to
local authority departments in the UK formerly
known as Weights and Measures. Frequently, the
Trading Standards enforcement functions of a
local authority are performed by a small part of a
larger department which enforces a wide range
of other legislation: environmental health, health
and safety, licensing and so on. These
departments investigate commercial
organisations that trade outside the law or in
unethical ways. They attempt to remedy
breaches by advice or by formal enforcement
action.

printed newspapers and magazines,
consisting of representatives of the major
publishers. It has been closed now.
