Salary: Grade 5 SCP 21 - 26 pro rata (actual salary £16,526 to £20,756)
Contract type: Term Time + 5 days (40 weeks) with paid overtime for out of term hours
Contract term: One year contract in the first instance with the potential to renew for a
further two years
Willows High School based in the East of Cardiff has been on an incredible improvement journey
since the appointment of its new Headteacher 3 years ago. We are a medium sized school and
pride ourselves on our family ethos where every member of our school community counts.
With our partners STAR Communities First and the People and Work Unit we are seeking to
appoint a Community Attendance Officer to provide additional support to the school based Well-
being and Attendance Officers, working in the community to improve attendance of pupils in
Willows and the primary cluster schools. This is a project funded post for an initial three years.
Previous experience of working in a school or a community development setting and relevant
experience would be beneficial although not essential. Interested candidates are welcome to
