May 20, School Wide Meeting
Apprendix C on CCSS site show samples.... Anchor papers will be done by School Wide.
Reviewing a Kindergrten piece there is a very sophisticated way about them, study what they are
utilizing on th rubric ORAGANIZation being very important at the start.

You can use the rubric for conference notes as you sit with the children.... this is the 6+1 traits in CCSS
they reference a lot of the same vocabulary. They call it Language (others use Wrod CHoice)

Will be getting a rubric for all the genres in the kits and all for the Common Core. Process
Rubiric is different from a Product Rubric.
She enlarged the rubric and cut into strips for the students instead of the whole rubric so its no so
overwhelming.

SO when we are breaking the writing down as an organizer we can use the rubric for the area of
instruction during that area of the piece.

Most deficient areas are in Organization and Idea Development and a hook/lead or a wrap up

Good way to get around the 1-4 by labeling your bulletin board only on the focus you did and you are
able to hang up your 3 if they got 3 in that area you were working on in writing.
