God wants exclusive devotion. It is as if he is saying: "Before you enter, I want you to know that I demand first place."

Lord, help us understand the implications of the words "No other gods". Wish we could obey as quickly as we can memorize. Help us root out all challengers and put you first, because you deserve to be first and will have no other place.In every heart there is one throne. It is big enough for only one god. One God is big enough for you. Put him first now.
