Three Objects that Secured Rahab's Salvation
1. Three objects that secured Rahab’s
Salvation
Josh 2
9 And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the
land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of
the landfaint because of you.
10 For we have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red sea for
you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the
Amorites, that were on the other side Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom ye
utterly destroyed.
11 And as soon as we had heard these things, our hearts did melt, neither
did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the
LORD your God, he is God in heaven above, and in earth beneath.
12 Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have
shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my father's
house, and give me a true token:
13 And that ye will save alive my father, and my mother, and my brethren,
and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death.

and escaped his hands.

18 Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet
thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt
bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father's
household, home unto thee.

Josh 2
4. 21 And she said, Accordingunto your words, so be it. And she sent them
away, and they departed: and she bound the scarlet line in the window.
Medical science has only recently discovered that blood-clotting in a
newborn reaches its peak on the eighth day, then drops. The Bible
consistently says that a baby must be circumcisedonthe eighthday.
Science once believed that the earthsat on a large animal or a giant (1500
B.C.), the Bible spokeof the earth’s free float in space: "He...hangs the
earth upon nothing" (Job 26:7).
Isaiah tells us that the earth is round: "Itis he that sits upon the circle of the
earth" (Isaiah40:22). Secular man discovered this 2,400 year later.
God told Job in 1500 B.C.: "Can you send lightning, that they may go, and
say to you, Here we are?" (Job 38:35). TheBible here is making what
appears to be a scientifically ludicrous statement—that light can be sent,
and then manifest itself inspeech. Butdid you know that radio waves
travel at the speed of light? This is why you can have instantaneous
wireless communication with someoneon the other side of the earth.
Science didn’t discover this until 1864 when "British scientistJames Clerk
Maxwell suggested that electricity and light waves weretwo forms of the
same thing" (Modern Century Illustrated Encyclopedia).
Job 38:19 asks, "Whereis the way where light dwells?" Modern man has
only recently discovered that light (electromagnetic radiation) has a "way,"
traveling at 186,000 miles per second.
5. Science has discovered that stars emit radiowaves, which are received on
earth as a high pitch. God mentioned this in Job 38:7:"When the morning
stars sang together..."
Solomon described a "cycle" of air currents two thousand years before
scientists "discovered" them. "The wind goes toward the south, and turns
about unto the north; it whirls aboutcontinually, and the wind returns
again according to his circuits" (Ecclesiastes 1:6).
Science expresses the universe infive terms: time, space, matter, power,
and motion. Genesis 1:1,2 revealed such truths to the Hebrews in 1450
B.C.: "In the beginning [time] God created [power] the heaven [space] and
the earth [matter] . . . And the Spiritof God moved [motion] upon the face
of the waters." The firstthing God tells man is that He controls all aspects
of the universe.
Up until 120 years ago, sick people were "bled," and many died becauseof
the practice. If you lose your blood, you lose your life. Yet Leviticus 17:11,
written 3,000 years ago, declared that blood is the sourceof life: "For the
life of the flesh is in the blood."
Until recent (1845) doctors washedtheir hands ina bowl of water,
leaving invisible germs ontheir hands. However, the Bible says specifically
to wash hands under "running water." (Leviticus 15:13). "And when he
that has an issueis cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself
even days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his fleshin
running water, and shall be clean"
6. Luke 17:34–36 saystheSecond Coming of Jesus Christwill occur while
some are asleep at night and others are working at daytime activities in the
field. This is a clear indication of a revolving earth, with day and night at
the same time.
There is no other book in any of the world’s religions (Vedas, Bhagavad-Gita,
Koran, Book of Mormon, etc.) that contains scientific truth. In fact, they contain
statements that are clearly unscientific. Hank Hanegraaff said, "Faith in Christis
not some blind leap into a dark chasm, but a faith based on established
evidence."
All you know or have known as earthly security may one-day
crumble like the walls of Jericho. A three piece first aid kit is all
you need to emerge victoriously.

Heb 6
17 Wherein God, willingmore abundantlyto shew unto the heirs of
promise the immutabilityof his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie,
we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold
upon the hope set before us:
19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast,
and which entereth into that within the veil;
20 Whither the forerunneris for us entered, even Jesus, made an high
priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
