of the world.

Our enemies will become angry with us when we establish limits as to what we will or won’t do. Others may feel threatened when we honor God through keeping of God’s principles.
After Adam and Eve chose to eat the forbidden fruit… We will fight weeds as we seek to produce our livelihoods.

Cannot let fear of poison ivy overwhelm us and prevent us from ridding our property of this cursed week. Similarly, we cannot let sin overwhelm us and prevent us from a calm and peaceful, productive life. If we are controlled by fear of poison ivy or sin, then we are cowed into complacence – and we can no longer be productive. We can refer back to Proverbs 24:32-34 about our property, our lives, or our church from being run down for lack of diligent care.
The children of Israel leave Egypt and stand at the edge of the Promised Land
The children of Israel leave Egypt and stand at the edge of the Promised Land
There are giants in the land. Giants are obstacles that can cause fear – and paralysis.
The spies and the rest of Israel had been living on manna, and now they saw real fruit – huge in size and in great quantities. Yet, they were afraid – afraid to take the land that God had promised to them. This bad decision by the children of Israel caused them to die in their sin – 40 years in the wilderness because of unwarranted fear. Only Joshua and Caleb entered the Promised Land with the next generation of the children of Israel.
Jesus Christ – through this parable, -- instructed us to occupy until He returns in power and glory – bringing the Kingdom of God to earth.
