JESUS will return to earth soon to defeat Lucifer and bring an end to the battle between good and evil. His return is necessitated by prophecies in scripture and promised by angels. Without the hope of his second coming, Christians would be in a state of despair, but the bible gives gifts and duties to occupy believers as they look forward to his return. When JESUS comes again, he will take believers to heaven to live with him and receive crowns and glory.
3. "Long have we waited for our Saviour's
return. But none the less sure is the
promise. Soon we shall be in our
promised home. There JESUS will lead
us beside the living stream wing from
the throne of God and will explain to us
the dark providence through which on this earth He
brought us in order to perfect our characters. There we
shall behold with undimmed vision the beauties of Eden
restored. Casting at the feet of the redeemer the crowns
that He has placed on our heads and touching our
golden harps, we shall fill all heaven with praise to Him
that sitteth on the throne.“

4. 1. The long standing battle
between our Lord JESUS Christ
and Lucifer is to soon come to a
close with JESUS' return to this
earth. We will be gliding through
scripture to see how and why his
return is so necessary. The
prophetic words require and necessitate the
personal return of Christ to this earth, for only then
will they literally and completely be fulfilled.
Scriptures show prophecies were given about His
coming and prophecies are given of His return.
2. Here are prophecies in scripture identifying his
coming:
5. Rev.12:7-9
"And there was war in heaven: Michael and his
angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon
fought and his angels,
(8) And prevailed not; neither was there place found
any more in heaven.
(9) And the great dragon was cast out, that old
serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which
deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the
earth and his angels with him."
6. Gen.3:15
"And I will put enmity between
you and the woman, and
between your seed and
her seed; it shall bruise your
head, and you shall bruise."his
heel.”
10. Acts.1:7,9-11
[7] And he said unto them, It is not for you
to know the times or the seasons, which
the Father hath put in his own power….
[9] And when he had spoken these
things, while they beheld, he was
taken up; and a cloud received him
out of their sight….
11. …[10] And while they looked stedfastly toward
heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood
by them in white apparel;
[11] Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why
stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same
Jesus, which is taken up from you into
heaven, shall so come in like manner as
ye have seen him go into heaven.”
13. John.14:1-3
“Let not your heart be troubled: ye
believe in God, believe also in me.
[2] In my Father's house are many
mansions: if it were not so, I would have
told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
[3] And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come again, and receive you unto
myself; that where I am, there ye may be
also.
14. Mat.25: 31
"When the Son of Man
shall come in His glory, and
all the holy angels with
him, then shall he sit upon
the throne of His glory."
16. 1 Corinthians 15:19-23
“If in this life only we have hope in
Christ, we are of all men most
miserable.
[20] But now is Christ risen from the
dead, and become the firstfruits of
them that slept….
17. ...[21] For since by man came death, by
man came also the resurrection of the
dead.
[22] For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ
shall all be made alive.
[23] But every man in his own order: Christ
the firstfruits; afterward they that are
Christ's at his coming."
18. 7.
While we look and wait
for his coming, we are
given gifts and duties
to keep us occupied:
19. 1Cor.1:4-7
“I thank my God always on your behalf, for
the grace of God which is given you by Jesus
Christ;
[5] That in every thing ye are enriched by
him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
[6] Even as the testimony of Christ was
confirmed in you:
[7] So that ye come behind in no gift;
waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ:”
20. Phil.3:20,21
“For our conversation is in heaven;
from whence also we look for the
Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
[21] Who shall change our vile body,
that it may be fashioned like unto his
glorious body, according to the working
whereby he is able even to subdue all
things unto himself.”
21. Col.3:1-4
“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those
things which are above, where Christ sitteth on
the right hand of God.
[2] Set your affection on things above, not on
things on the earth.
[3] For ye are dead, and your life is hid with
Christ in God.
[4] When Christ, who is our life, shall appear,
then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”
22. 1Pet.1:13
[13] Wherefore gird up the loins of your
mind, be sober, and hope to the end for
the grace that is to be brought unto you at
the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1Pet.5:4
[4] And when the chief Shepherd shall
appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory
that fadeth not away.”
23. 1John.3:1-3
“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath
bestowed upon us, that we should be called the
sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not,
because it knew him not.
[2] Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it
doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we
know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like
him; for we shall see him as he is.
[3] And every man that hath this hope in him
purifieth himself, even as he is pure.
24. “Jesus sent his angels to direct the minds
of the disappointed ones to the most
holy place, where he had gone to cleanse
the sanctuary and make a special
atonement for Israel. Jesus told the
angels that all who found Him would
understand the work which He was to perform. I saw
that while Jesus was in the most holy place He would be
married to the New Jerusalem; and after his work
should be accomplished in the holiest, He would
descend to the earth in Kingly power and take to
Himself the precious ones who had patiently waited His
return.“
Early Writings, pg. 251.
25. “Paul pleaded with those who had once
known in their lives the power of God,
to return to their first love of gospel
truth. With unanswerable arguments
he set before them their privilege of
becoming free men and women in
Christ, through whose atoning grace all who make
full surrender are clothed with the robe of
His righteousness. He took the position that every
soul who would be saved must have a genuine,
personal experience in the things of God.”
Acts Of The Apostles. Pg. 388
26. 8. As you can see there are
many reasons for the return
of Jesus Christ. Some we have
not looked at. We have been
commissioned by Jesus to
occupy until He comes. Even
though we are to anxiously await His return,
we must continually be pressing into the things
of the kingdom and working with Him while He
builds His church and establishes His kingdom
on earth as it is in heaven, of which the gates
of Hell will not be able to prevail against.
27. Revelation 20:6
“Blessed and holy is he who has part
in the first resurrection.
Over such the second death has no
power, but they shall be priests
of God and of Christ, and shall
reign with Him a thousand years.”
28. 1Tim.6:13-16
“I give thee charge in the sight of God,
who quickeneth all things, and before
Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate
witnessed a good confession;
[14] That thou keep this
commandment without spot,
unrebukeable, until the appearing of our
Lord Jesus Christ:…
29. …[15] Which in his times he shall shew,
who is the blessed and only Potentate,
the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
[16] Who only hath immortality, dwelling
in the light which no man can approach
unto; whom no man hath seen, nor
can see: to whom be honour and power
everlasting. Amen.”
