2. Back Story
Shortly before forming, the members were in the group
Jettatura whose one and only gig was in a garden
supporting Funeral For A Friend. Vendorbelly hope to best
this effort and have FFAF support them. 2012 was the year
Vendorbelly came into it's own. Playing a whole slew of
shows across London and the surrounding areas with
trailblazers such as Bloodshed, this all culminated in their
first festival appearance at Danson Park's annual Danson
Festival, Bexleyheath. After Danson, the band took a short
break from playing shows in order to write and recover
(and work outside of the band) but are back and ready to
fuzz up unsuspecting ears.
3. What the documentary is about.
My documentary will be about the band
Vendorbelly. It will show a small take of the
band and their music as they show more
about themselves and the genre they
produce. It is about a band who enjoy the
music that they play and want to show that
just because the music isn't successful in the
media, it still can be something that the
audience would like. With a large range of
melodic sounds from cello's to distorted
guitar riffs this documentary will show how
much time and effort that the band members
put into to make the sounds of Vendorbelly.
4. Why this documentary is unique.
This documentary will be unique as it is about
a sludge rock/stoner metal band from 2012
who incorporate elements of 1960's psychedelic
rock, acid rock, 70's doom metal, and
traditional heavy metal. Combining these
genres together Vendorbelly has created
something that is rarely done within the
music industry in this day in age, this shows
the bravery that they have for taking on the
industry and how they handle the
mainstream public which will be shown
throughout the documentary.
5. Why?
Not many people, especially in this
area create or even listen to this
genre of music which should be
shown and discovered by more
people.

8. Types Of Questions
How did forming Vendorbelly come around and on what terms
did the band Jettatura end?
You have your first EP out now, how was the process in
recording it and was there any specialized or specific
equipment used in the studio?
Releasing the EP, what methods have you used to promote the
music and how do you feel that it will affect your audience
and the music itself?
What was the best venue you have performed in and what
made it so?
Is it really all Sex, Drugs and Rock ‘n’ Roll?
