6. Above the Average Wage
1. There retail and hospitality sector have been hammered by COVID19. The recovery for both retail and hospitality will be very painful -

sector-canada-and-the-world
2. There is a job quality issue in Canada. The goods-producing sector has only produced 92K net new jobs from Nov/15 to February 2020. Goods-producing
jobs pay on average 30-40% more than the service sector

inequality-and-poverty
3. Retraining for the next generation of jobs will be very costly. Technology and skills trade jobs required many years of schooling and certification -

4. Canada needs to re-think their immigration strategy - https://www2.slideshare.net/paulyoungcga/policy-review-october-2020-immigration-and-refugees-
canada
7. Competitiveness
• Corporate taxation needs to be competitive and they are now. If Singh was serious about tax reform, then he would go after
tax havens and reform the code. https://www.slideshare.net/paulyoungcga/closing-down-of-tax-havens
• Singh goal of raising corporate tax rates by 50% is the wrong approach. Source -
