• The natural resources pay 30% higher wages than average wages in Canada
• Natural resources have huge trade surpluses.
• Canada needs to streamline processes to get material out of the ground to market
• You cannot have clean technology without raw materials
• Natural Resources drive government revenue which then supports innovation funds. Many clean tech
companies in Canada have not been able to generate a profit. The market value of clean technology
companies is driven by their goodwill, not their profit.
