1. KASHUBIAN STRAWBERRY

2.  In November 2009 it was registered as a Protected
Geographical Indication (PGI) in the EU.
 Its skin is dark red, glossy, and the flesh is very red
when cut. Kashubian strawberries are very sweet.
 In Kashubia, a part of Pomerania region, there are
large strawberry fields.
 Poland is the fifth largest horticultural producer in
European Union after Spain, Italy, France and
Germany.

3. PROPERTIES
 Strawberries have been used to treat skin problems
and sun burns.
 They contain a lot of vitamins (C, A, B1, B2 and
PP), iron, calcium, phospforus.
 They protect from anaemia, strenghten bones and
teeth. They improve metabolism and heart.
