The government has approved a proposal to make candidate scores and rankings from government recruitment exams publicly available online through a dedicated portal. The portal will be created by the National Informatics Centre and will display exam results unless the candidate has opted out of disclosure. Candidates can access detailed results for exams in the past year by clicking on the exam name on recruiting agency websites linked on the portal. Details shown will include name, birthdate, category, gender, education, address and email unless the candidate opted out during the application process.

Candidates taking various examinations for recruitment into central government will now
be able to access their scores and rankings through a dedicated portal, with the
government approving a proposal of Niti Aayog in this regard.
The detailed results will be available for public viewing, unless the candidate concerned has
opted out of the disclosure scheme at the time of filing of application.
“The government has approved the proposal of Niti Aayog for making available publicly
scores and ranking of candidates in recruitment examinations through a dedicated portal
for increasing access of the unemployed to job opportunities...,“ the DoPT said in a
communication to Niti Aayog and department of electronics and information technology
on Tuesday . DoPT has tasked NIC with creating the dedicated portal where the marks and
ranking of all those who have appeared for recruitment exams will be uploaded. The
integrated website will have links to the web pages of various recruiting agencies (UPSC,
SSC, etc). The home pages of the recruiting agencies will display details of the recruitment
examinations undertaken by them in the past one year and the date of announcement of
the final results.

One can access details of the candidate, along with their rankings and scores
in descending order by clicking the link of the examination concerned.
Details to be made available include the candidate's name, fatherhusband's
name, date of birth, category (generalSCSTOBCPH minority), gender,
educational qualifications, address and e-mail address.
Stating that candidates may opt out of the public disclosure of their scores,
the DoPT missive said the option would have to be exercised at the time of
filling up the application. “This, thus further indicates that the actual
implementation can be done only on those exams for which the application
forms will be invited in future... Seeking option from candidates during the
process of conduct of examination may neither be practical nor feasible,“ it
elaborated.
