3. Just A quick overview
Objective
Heavy Weather Films wants to spread out the reach of their film to other media platforms like games and graphic
novels, as to be able to attract more audiences.
Target Audience
HWF is gearing their film towards, politically, the working class, Veterans of war, minorities, and people between their
mid 20’s and mid 40’s. With us making this video game not only are we trying to include those, but we are focused
mainly on attracting college students(18-25) and families/friends of veterans.
Marketing Message
When it comes to spreading the word, we aren’t focused as much on promoting the game itself as we
are promoting the movie through the game because the plots of the two are fairly different. We
want the players of the game to go watch the movie it was based on.
Why do this the way we are?
The reason we picked the goals and deliverables you are about to see is because not only will we be
able to get things done faster overall, but our client will be able to see our progress as we go along
and we’re able to reflect and make new/better ideas off of past decisions or actions.
4. What they were originally doing
Heavy Weather Films had not yet tried using a video game or graphic
novel to broaden their influence. Before all they had been doing
were making their films and showing them to people, hoping they
would spread it by word of mouth.
