Impersonal expressions work a lot like emotions in that they are
someone’s opinion or value judgment. They focus on the subjectivity
of the statement and not on the actual truth or reality of the situation.
When one uses an impersonal expression, the subject is
understood to be “it”.

Since the subject pronoun for “it” does not exist in Spanish, the
“it” is understood in these expressions and hence serves as the
first subject in our subjunctive formula.

EL PRESENTE DEL SUBJUNTIVO—LA
FORMACIÓN DE LOS VERBOS
Recuerda que hay tres pasos en la formación de los verbos regulares en el presente
del subjuntivo. El primer paso es muy importante porque cuando empiezas con
este paso, vas a reducir la cantidad de verbos que se consideran irregulars.
Paso 1: Empieza con la forma “yo” en el presente indicative.Tengo
