journals
• Funded by initial one-off grants - membership and sponsor funding
model introduced 2006.A history of DOAJ
• Since 2013 operated by Infrastructure Services for Open Access
IS4OA (www.is4oa.org)
• A not-for-profit community interest company registered in the UK
– Articles of association states that
– - activities should benefit research
– - cannot be sold to private companies!
