1. Reflection (Global Citizenship and Equity)
Question # 1- I believe throughout my apple project I had very strong
respectful relationship with the children, parents and the staff. When I do my
apple restaurant I talked to parents and asked them to collect any apple related
food for our restaurant. Almost all the parents enjoyed my documentation panel
and one of the mother told me that, “even though I cut apples every day I did not
know that there is star in the apple I learned something from your project too”. I
believe children learned so much from our project every time when they see an
apple now they comes to me and say “ Malie star in the apple”.
Question #2- I believe my interactions with the children mostly guided me
emergent curriculum and principles of the Reggio Emilia approach. I set-up the
classroom environment as a third teacher and I used one-hundred language of
learning. I used different materials to explore the learning outcomes. I scaffold
their ideas by asking questions and giving information.
Question # 3 - I believe children learned more about the world around them
from the project. They became more aware about their environment and things
happening around them. I believe as a global citizen it is very important to know
and understand the world around them it will help them in the future to be a
respectful human being.
