2. My target audience
My target audience is mainly divided in to two:
primary audience:
They are males form the age of 18 to the age of 42 they are people who tend to think a
lot about their surrounding and question everything.
They are usually the group that like to use technology a lot and usually tend to like
philosophy
secondary audience:
They are females from the age of 23 to the age of 49. they are people who tend to think
a lot about their surrounding and question everything.
They are usually the group that like to use technology a lot and usually tend to like
philosophy
For my audience in general they are aspirers and an active audience as they interact with the film
3. Uses and gratifications
I tried to gratify my audience by making think and escape their reality and help them
identify them selves by comparing them selves to the characters and make them wonder
what have they done in their lives that leads them to that exact moment and how?
This has developed in my final product as it stars off with the ending of the beginning which
causes the audience to wonder how have the protagonist “Brook” has reached that point in
his life.
This was successful as it made people wanting to know more about the character and to
release them selves from the accumulation of questions that are running in their heads.
4. Narrative setup
The narrative start up was creating an equilibrium with the character that
was introduced in the beginning to start up the enigma that will later on
build up to the last moments in the film.
The film is the constant mishap for the main character Brook that he faces
in his unconventional journey that is filled with mystery and a main enigma
that makes everyone question what is going on by having distributions
and enigmas in every corner in the film that links back to the original
enigma that resets the equilibrium.
The setup makes the audience engaged and wanting more and to watch
more of the film to know the answer and confirm their speculations and
theories about the storyline.
5. Technical Elements
The main technical elements that have mainly intrigued and attracted my
audience was the editing mainly and the Mise-en-sene.
The editing consisted off mainly of rough cuts and fade to black transitions as
it takes the shots quickly in to the main point that is intended to be seen.
There was also long takes like in the location establishing shots.
For the Mise-en-sene the costumes, makeup and lighting were the major and
predominately the strongest things in my film as they played the major role of
identifying my characters and help identify the binary opposition of light and
dark.
6. Distribution
what is distribution ?
it is the delivery or the distribution of a media content like audio, video or else.
Mainly it is meant to be the distribution of content through physical media (DVD or BLU-
RAY)
advantages of having a distributor:
Selling through a distributor does have its advantages. First, they have a vast network of
established contacts and they can use these contacts to grow your business. Second, they
have “feet on the ground” and a salesforce able to access a market your company can't
Disadvantages of having a distributor:
they often have exorbitant markups and will literally price your product out of the market.
Second, they won’t share any information about their market and really shouldn’t have to.
