Car Boot
The Dobbie Hall car boot sale takes place every Wednesday from 8.30am till noon and pitches cost
£6 for one and £9 for two. Tables are available for anyone wishing to make some money from
unwanted items and all money raised benefits the Hall Trust. For hall and pitch bookings call

Al Anon
A meeting of the above takes place every Friday in Larbert Old Church Hall at 8pm. The meetings
allow people to share experiences and gain advice on coping with family members suffering from
alcoholism. The group also meets in Grahamston United Church, Falkirk, on Monday evenings at the

North Broomage
Bingo continues on Monday, Thursday and Saturday evenings at 7pm. The club is available for hire
to accommodate birthday parties, weddings etc. and further information is available by calling the
club after 6pm on (01324) 552685.
East Playgroup
2. Larbert East Playgroup has vacancies for new members. The playgroup is for children of two years
six months and upwards and runs on Tuesday to Friday at Larbert East Church from 9.20-11am.
There is also a Monday Twos club from 9.30-11am and a Toddlers Group goes ahead on a
Wednesday from 9.30-11am. Anyone interested in joining any of these groups will be welcomed at
the church at the above times.
Badminton Club
The club meets in the games hall at Larbert High School every Monday between 8.15-9pm.
Toddler Group
Toddlers, Tots and Twos meets at Larbert Pentecostal Church in Broomage Avenue every Thursday.
The facility is for 0-3 year olds and has a dedicated baby corner. It runs on Thursday mornings
between 9.30-11am. The cost is £1 per child and includes snacks. A warm welcome awaits and for

Aerobics Class
Aerobics and conditioning classes go ahead very Tuesday and Thursday in Larbert West Church from
6.25-7.30pm. Those wishing to become toned fitter will be made welcome. Further information from

Ochilview Bar
The old Warriors Club has resumed Friday night Bingo sessions and eyes-down is at 8pm prompt.
Meanwhile, every Sunday at 3pm a domino competition goes ahead when the winner takes home a
steak pie and runner-up a quarter bottle of spirits. Entry is £1 and monies raised go to charity.
Tonight, Thursday, the quiz goes on as usual in the lounge 8pm. Entry is £1 and winning team takes
all. The Play Your Cards Right game also features on the same evening.
Barbershop Singing
Sweet Harmony Barbershop Chorus meets for practice every Tuesday at 7.30pm in Larbert East
Church Hall (Kirk Wynd) when new members will be made most welcome. If you'd like to give it a

Buddhism Meeting
Practitioners of Nichiren Bhuddism meet once a month in the Rotary Hall, Larbert - next to the
3. Dobbie - and anyone with an interest is welcome to attend. Further information is available on

Larbert Bowling
The club would be happy to accommodate new members and information is available from members
or at the clubrooms. Cash bingo goes ahead every Monday at 7.30pm in the club's Pretoria Road
premises.
Walking Football
Stenhousemuir F.C. Community Development Director, Jamie Kirk, would be delighted to hear from
anyone over 50 wishing to enjoy a new initiative at the club. A new session of Walking Football has
started and places are available at Ochilview on Wednesdays at 6.p.m. Given running with the ball is
out of bounds it is ideal for those who feel they would benefit from a gentler form of the game as

Stenhousemuir Bowling
Currently celebrating its 150th season when all games will be played at home, the club would be
delighted to welcome new members at the Church Street green. Forms are available at the bar and
the entry fee has been reduced to half price at the present time.
Summer Fayre
For many years the 62nd Larbert Scout Group has been very grateful to everyone who has supported
their annual jumble sale by donating items and attending the event. This year the group is replacing
the jumble sale with a Summer Fayre and it goes ahead on Saturday, August 15, between 11am to
2pm in Larbert Old Parish Church Hall. There will be stalls and events for all the family, including
bouncy castle, games, crafts, demonstrations, nearly new items, jewellery, home baking and
refreshments. Full details will be given in early August and it is hoped that the community will go
along in numbers to support and enjoy a great family day out.
Zumba Classes
Zumba with Carol continues at the Dobbie Hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays 7-8pm. Zumab Gold with
Carol continues at the Dobbie Hall on Tuesdays and Thursdays 11-11.45am.
Community Church
Tryst Community Church will meet in the Tryst Community Centre, Park Drive, Stenhousemuir on
Sunday at 10am for worship and Bible teaching. The Bible teaching will continue on the subject 'A
closer look at Christ' with the theme, 'The Knowledge of Christ' and will be led by Brian Liddle.
Tea/coffee after this Service. Prayer Time in the centre on Tuesday at 7.30pm. If you would like

Salvation Army
Cornerstone Full Gospel Church Sunday morning service from 10.30am to noon every Sunday, this
week led by Pastor Alex Paton. Sunday Worship at the Salvation Army led by Major John McCaffrey
follows from 2.30-3.30pm. Monday Home League is from 1.55-3pm, led by Major Alma Thomas from
4. Bo'ness Salvation Army. Each Tuesday from 10-11am we is Memory Group, part of Headway Falkirk.

except the last of the month when it is the committee meeting. Church Joint Prayer Meeting is every

Stenhouse & Carron
The service on Sunday is at 11.15am and will be led by Rev. Bill Thomson. All are welcome to join us
in worship.
Larbert West
The service on Sunday at 10.30am will be conducted by Rev. Dr Campbell Campbell-Jack. Creche
and Sunday Club facilities for all children. Refreshments and fellowship in the hall after the service.
All welcome. On Wednesday the Prayer Group meet in the lesser hall at 1pm.
Larbert Old
You are warmly-invited to the Larbert Old Church Service at 11am on Sunday, July 26, which will be
led by Mr Arthur Priestly and elders. Children's activities will be provided. The service will be held
in the hall. Services will resume in the church on 2nd August. 'Mega Makers' Holiday Club will be
held from August 3-7 from 10am until noon daily. Registration details are on the church website,

Larbert East
During the morning service last Sunday, Seth Watson, son of Aimee and David Watson and Holly
Georgia Hogarth daughter of Debbie and Craig Hogarth were welcomed into the family of the
Church through the Sacrament of Baptism. On Sunday, the morning service at 10.30 am will be led
by former student Anne White. The Summer Sunday Club for 3-12 year olds will meet in the Small
Hall before the service. Crèche is held in the Session Room. Tea and coffee will be served in the hall
after the service and the Traidcraft stall will also be there. All welcome.
