1. ****Poop Deck****
30th October 2017
Dear Members,
In future Poop Deck will be sent out on a Monday as the office will now be closed all day on a
Tuesday.
Friday Night’s Talk on the Nottage Institute by Bernie Hetherington was brilliant. Again it was well
attended and so interesting. Who knew that the Nottage had such history behind it, and what great
artefacts Bernie has!
The Club 100 draw rolled over again as Nigel Edmunds was NOT in the bar to collect £80. It will
now roll over to £90 for this Friday.
The Cadets Halloween Party was a great success, with the club decorated with all things spooky,
fantastic costumes, and plenty fun and games. Next up by the cadets is the Film Night after the
members meeting on 11th
November.
Some of you will have seen ‘Guy’ in the club foyer this weekend. He is a sight to behold, so well done
Tom Sargeant!
Trophies
We are appealing for all those who won trophies in the 2016 season, to bring them back to the Club,
so they can be presented at this year’s Laying Up Supper. If you won a trophy but did not take it
home, please do let us know.
We are also looking for some volunteers who would be willing to come in on a Thursday morning to
do some silver polishing, so if you are happy to spare some time to help, please let Emma know on
