Dear 4th Graders and Parents,
Our trip to Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center is fast approaching.
In order to take care of last minute details, we have attached your group’s
schedule for the week. At the May1st meeting you received the clothing and
equipment list, the rules, emergency contact information, and health notice.
GENERAL INFORMATION
1. We ask that you try to get all your clothing in one suitcase or duffel
bag, as luggage space is limited.
a. All clothing should be placed in a suitcase or duffel bag. Do not
pack clothing in plastic bags.
b. Please pack boots and shoes in your suitcase or duffel bag
rather than tying them to handles.
c. All sleeping bags need to be protected by packing them in a
bag. Garbage bags work well.
d. Please label your suitcase and sleeping bag (clothes, too if
possible).
e. Please bring an extra plastic bag for dirty clothes.
2. It is OK to bring your pillow and a small bag or back pack with books,
pencils, etc. on the bus. Do not bring any food or drink onto the
bus. We will provide each child with a journal on the bus.
3. You may bring money for the store in an envelope or billfold with
your name on it. Give it to your group leader Monday morning.
Students with parents attending should also give money to the
group leader.
4. Please bring a stamped envelope addressed to your parent(s) for the
letter you will write home before going to the Wolf Ridge store. If you
2. would like to write more letters, bring extra stamped envelopes.
5. Parents: If you would like to write a letter to your child while we are
at the ELC, the address is: Child’s Name

• Please mail your letter early in the week (or the previous week) to
ensure that your child receives it while we are at the ELC.
Departure details for Monday, May 17th, 2010
1. Be at school by 6:50 AM. No sooner than 6:40 AM.
2. Parents: Please do not park in the bus loop on Monday AM or
Friday PM while the buses are present.
3. When you arrive, leave your luggage by your bus.
Bus 1 (Groups A, B, C) Bus 2 (Groups D, E, F)
4. Take your money, any medication, your jacket, and carry-
on items for the bus into the gym. Look for the sign with your
group letter and check in with your group leader.
5. Give any medication (with instructions) to your group
leader. They will also collect your store money.
6. We board the buses when everyone has checked in with
departure set for 7:15 AM.
Arrival details for Friday, May 21st, 2010
1. We will arrive back at Shirley Hills between 2:00-2:30 PM
2. You should be picked up at this time by a parent.
3. You cannot ride the bus home or go back to the classroom on Friday
after arriving back.
