theyknoweverythingbecausetheyarereadingontheinternet...Sometimesthe
doctorisdisappointedthatdespitetheapplicationofsophisticateddrugsand
procedures,therehasbeennocurebecausethediseasehasadvanced.Thenthenurse
isresponsiblefornotleavingthepatient,especiallyinthelastdaysofhislife.Manyold

thepatientsandfamilymembers.OftenmedicineistoomuchtomixwithGodin
businessbecausewetreatitandwhenweknowthattheoutcomewillnotbewhatwe
wwant.Sometimesanxietyisextendedforbothpatientandfamilymembers.However,
itisinthefirstplacetobeaninterestofmannotonlyasapatientbutaboveallmanas
aperson.Themeaningofnursing,itsfundamentalvalue,isthegreatestbenefitofa
'person'patient.
EversinceinelementaryschoolIdecidedwhatIwanttobeinlife.AtschoolIwasnever
thebestintheclassroom,butIwasaverygoodorexcellentstudent.Bycomingto
practiceinthehospital,mylifefinallygotthesense.WhenIcametoRebro,therewas
nohappierpersonthanme.Myfirstpracticewasinthecoronaryunit.Irememberlike
itwasyesterday.Fascinating!AlreadyonthefirstorseconddayIhadachancetosee
whatitmeanttosavesomebody'slife.Iwatchedthemedicalteamrevivetheladywho
sufferedaheartattack.AndIwantedtodoit.Probablythedoctorsandnursessawmy
lovloveforthatjobandassoonasIfinishedhighschoolIofferedmyjobatRebandthat's
whereIwanted-inthecoronaryunit.Cardiologyismylife.There'snochanceI'llever
gofromcardiology,andespeciallytogetawayfromthepatients.Itisincorrecttothink
thatthenurseisdoingjustwhatthedoctorsays.Sheisanautonomousmemberofa
multidisciplinaryteam,anassociatephysicianandotherhealthprofessionals.Nurse's
educationhasnowbeenelevatedtoacademiclevelandnursesaredealingwith
science.However,theymustalwaysprotecttheinterestsofthepatient.Forexample,a
docdoctortakescareofthetreatment,butthenurseknowsifthemaniseducatedand
capableoftakingthemedicineathome.Ilovemedicine,butIwouldneverwanttobea
doctor.Complementaryrelationshipbetweenmedicineandhealthcare.Muchlove,
knowledgeandskillhavebeenincorporatedintohumancare.However,theyrarely
speakaboutitbecauseoftentheendresultisdeath.Othersrarelytalkbecauseitisnot
attractiveorattractive.However,whentheyfindthemselvesintheroleofapatient,
theyrealizethattheirnursingisasmileandawarmhandshakeisthebestcure.Ihave
pepersonallybeeninsuchsituationsmanytimes.Therearemanysuddendeaths.
