the props used in my opening scene

3. IPhone 6s Space-Grey and Lead
The prop is an IPhone 6s space grey with a lead, the
appearance of the iPhone will be clean and well
looked after with no blood, dust or dirt on it. The
character that will use this prop is the unseen
antagonist (Harry), he will be using this within the
opening scene when he is taking photos of the group
of lads and additionally using it when uploading
photos onto the laptop using the lead. This means
throughout the opening scene this prop will be used
frequently. This prop is important as it is mainly how
the opening scene tells a narrative helping the
audience get an idea of what the rest of the film will
be like before watching it. The use of this prop will
give the audience a feeling of relatability, this is due
to the fact most of the population will have an apple
product mainly in the teenagers.

4. Shovel
This prop is a shovel, the shovel will have an
appearance that is muddy and dirty as it shows that
the group of lads have been digging the mud and
dirt for a while. The shovel will be used instantly as
the camera will do a close-up of it going into the
ground and this mainly the only time the shovel will
be used. However it may be used at the end of the
opening scene. The leader/alpha male (Nohail) will
be the character that will use the shovel and
possibly the unseen antagonist (Harry). This prop is
used to set the scene straight away and gives the
audience an idea of what is going on in that
moment, its important as it shows what item has
been used to ‘burry the killers brother’.

5. Toshiba Laptop
This prop is a laptop and will stay clean as
the appearance linking to the iPhone.
Within the sequence the unseen antagonist
(Harry) will use the laptop to connect the
phone to the laptop using the lead and
uploading photos. The reason he will do
this is to show to the audience he keeps a
track of what the group lads have done and
are doing. This item wont be used often as
it will only be used once in the opening
scene when the unseen antagonist is in the
shed. This prop isn’t too important as it
only shows the audience that the character
is keeping track of the group of lads. It is
mainly used just to set the new scene of the
shed and how he does some of his secretive
work their.
