My story is one of an experienced professional that has worked with a single goal in mind – to be a
senior financial manager. To this end, I intended from early on in my career that I would seek to build a
“table” of expertise – corporate accounting, fund accounting, cost accounting, financial compliance,
taxation, business systems, budgeting, financial analysis, treasury, etc.
During this time, I have been afforded the opportunity to consult or work within a variety of industries,
both for profit and non-profit, such as: advertising, aerospace and defense, architecture and
engineering, environmental, film/special effects, healthcare, higher education, information technology,
legal, manufacturing, and utilities/energy.
In addition to technical skills and broad industry knowledge, I determined that working as a consultant
would instruct me in the art of soft skills - working with and through people in a variety of situations.
Certifications that I currently hold or have held include the CPA and the CTT (Certified Technical Trainer)
designation for five years, respectively.
How my background and experience can serve you is as follows:
I have a history of working closely with senior leadership and am used to summarizing
information at an executive level that is well supported.
Learning to actively listen to the concerns and interests of clients, colleagues and subordinates
alike has allowed me to develop an open door working approach in most situations
As a public accountant and a consultant, I learned the value of training and investing time and
effort in staff to build the skills base of a unit
Building CIBER’s Federal accounting compliance function has provided me with in-depth
understanding of: FAR, CAS, ICAPS, and DCAA issues
ERP systems implementation experience with Costpoint®, in both consulting and project
management have provided me with best practices knowledge
As a senior financial manager for: CIBER, GCS, InfoPro, and Flight International, I’ve developed
solid budgeting and analysis skills
