CHAIN5 is the ‘community of practice for level 5’ for those who are involved in the developments
concerning level 5 of the European Qualifications Framework.
In January 2020, the Work-based Learning group from CHAIN5 discussed work-based learning with
representatives of level 5 programs at Dutch and Belgian universities of applied sciences. We
embrace the idea of work-based learning, because it is an important part of the practice-oriented
programs on level 5.
We are now scheduling a webinar about this very interesting topic. This webinar is open to everyone
who is interested in work-based learning and has some interest in level 5 education. Loek
Nieuwenhuis, author of ‘Design rules for work-based learning’, will address current topics around the
concept of work-based learning. In breakout rooms we will discuss topics more in depth.
This webinar will be organized on Wednesday, the 25th
of November 2020, from 15.00 – 17.00 hr.
