2. INT. BEDROOM.DAY
A framed photograph of a boy hangs on the wall. The boy is
smiling at the camera, wearing an nicely ironed light blue
shirt. In the background you hear people talking. Voices and
foot trampling is heard from above.
INT.LIVING ROOM.DAY
A bunch of old people are situated in the living room all
talking. Next to the wall stands a bunch of luggage. A old
man with hair slicked back clings his fork to the glass, and
stands up to make a toast.
GRANDFATHER
Max I am very proud of you. You are
the 5th Watson who is going to
Cambridge and for that Max you
should be very proud of yourself.
Grandfather sits. FATHER gets back up.
FATHER
Max I always knew that you could do
it, like your brother. You have
huge potential to be something
great in life.
People slowly make their way out of the living. A mature
looking blonde haired woman wearing a dress and pearl neck
less with matching earrings binds her arm around Max. Max
smiles at her and they both follow all of the other people
INT. HALLWAY.DAY
The door handle is unlocked and the door goes open. Max
stands in the center of the hall way surrounded by people.
MAX
Bye
Max is encountered by 16 people who he has to hug, each one
Max has to smile at. The more people he hugs the more
agitated he gets, and the quicker the hug is.
All the guests have gone and Max is left standing in front
of his parents.
MOTHER
Max take care of yourself. I kept a
list in the fridge of all the
chores you have to do.

Both parents go past Max, their luggage are leaning on the
door. They take it. Max goes over and opens the door for
them. Max looks at his watch.
FATHER
Max do you have to be somewhere?
MAX
No.... definitely not.
INT.LIVING ROOM. DAY
Lifting the living room table Max places it to the back of
the living behind. Max collects all the silver cutlery and
golden chess watch which are all on the second room of the
living room.
He places a plastic box next. Max poors ice in the plastic
box and then places drinks inside.
INT.KITCHEN. DAY.
Max collects all the antique elephants standing beside the
ridge of the window sill. Max places them carefully each one
after the other.
INT.HALLWAY.DAY
The doorbell rings. Max opens the door.
His five friends comes inside. Max gives them the hand and
gives them beer.
BEDROOM.DAY
Max’s hair is scruffy, his eye looks swollen and he looks
pale. Opening his eyes Max slowly gets up. No one is in his
room.
The time is 12.45. Max enters the kitchen and opens the
fridge and grabs the milk. Whilst closing the fridge Max
notices a post it note reading ’we will be back by 14.00’.
Max checks the time.
MAX
FUCK!

INT. LIVING ROOM.DAY
Max sees the living room. Glass bottles are scattered all
over, empty and some half full. Confetti is places on the
sofa and even on the ceiling. Around 20 ballons are on the
floor and the ceiling.
Max climbs on the on a ladder and takes the ballons confetti
away.
INT.BEDROOM.DAY
Max sees that his framed photograph in his bedroom is still
not hung up. Max picks it up. About to place it on he looks
at the end sees a black mark on the wall.
Footsteps from upstairs are heard. Max grabs the photograph
and places it on the wall and rushes out of the room.
INT.HALLWAY.DAY.
Max is very intense looking at his parents smiling at them
intently and asking them questions trying to distract them.
MAX:
Hey how was the trip did you see
Christine and Joshua?
MOTHER
yes we did the party was great
everyone send there regards Max.
Father and I are very tired and
will be heading for a quick power
nap.
MAX
Ok yeah no worries I have to do my
Politics essay anyway.
INT. BEDROOM.DAY
Max lies on his bed, throwing a tennis ball in his hand. His
face frowning the only thing he is thinking about the stain.
Max gets up from his bed.
He check the stain again removing the framed picture. Max
looks around the stain sighing his head. He grabs his hand
and places his hand on the stain. Zap! The stain creates a
shock on his hand. Max wiggles his hand around.

Max grabs a black pen from the nearby desk and decides to
paint around the whole to make it bigger. The whole is now
easily a 2 foot wide and 7 foot high. Max looks around the
environment that he is in. Max places his right foot slowly
looking at his leg. Followed by his waste, arms and
Head. Max eventually gets all of his body out.
Father enters the bedroom. He opens the drawer opposite the
bed to get knitting equipment out. He turns around and sees
the painting and next to it the massive bold black stain. He
unhangs the stain. Touching the stain nothing happens to his
hand - it doesn’t disappear.
Father grabs paint and reprints the wall. He grabs the paint
and paints all over the black stain. He bends over and hangs
the framed photograph of Max and departs. The photograph of
Max is left there.
