6. INFANT POSTURE
 Detect the position of infant during sleep
 LSM330DLC inertial sensor is used without
gyroscope
 Set threshold value to minimize the small
fluctuations in accelerometer and it allows to
control the tilt angle posture
 Position gets updated when there is a valid
change
 3D-accelarator is to recognize the force of gravity
 ‘A’-Infant is lying on his back
 ‘B,D’-Infant is lying on his side
 ‘C’-Infant is lying on his stomach

8. BREATHIN RATE SENSOR
 The same 3D-accelarometer is used here with a
sampling rate of 10Hz.
 Measures 60 breaths per minute

9. STRATERGY TO MEASURE
BREATHING RATE
 Implementation of the smoothing algorithm
results in huge energy consumption
 State machine with three possible states are used
to minimize the power consumption
 Middle state
 High state
