1. Final Music Video ‘Presentation’ – for the blog
Now that you have presented your individual ideas it is time to develop the final one…..
Imagine you are presenting you idea to the band, their management team and record label.
You will need to cover the following in your presentation:
Outline the ‘narrative structure’ of your video – what visuals will we see for each
verse and chorus
Audience: What is your target audience and how do you intend on appealing to this
audience. Include at least three specific features you will use. (eg actors, pace of
editing, message, symbolic images, genre, use of particular camera work, colour,
storyline etc). Make sure you describe the feature and explain how you think this
will appeal to the audience.
What tone will your music video be? (e.g funny, moody, gritty, black, surreal,
parody, retro, amusing, romantic, sad, serious, challenging etc). Explain how your
video will create this tone and why you have chosen this tone. Is this in keeping with
the bands style or are you developing a new style?
Explain how you will use, develop and/or challenge key music video conventions
(including representation issues)
Discuss how Goodwin applies to your music video
