Teacher starts the class by asking about
various separeting method and ask the
questions whether we can separate
more than one colored solute dissolved
in same solvent
Students share their experience
Presentation
Teacher shows the video of blackspot
using a sketchpen and at one end of a
filter paper cut like a ribbon and keep
this dipped in the water in a beaker.
VIDEO

1. What can be observe in the water level in
the filter paper asends ?
2. What can be inside from the different
colors found in filter paper?
Students observe the video

CONCEPT FORMATION
Student understand knowledge about
chromatography though activity i.e.,
chromatography is the method used to separate
more than one solute dissolved in the same solvent
. this method was first employed for separating
colored substance and hence this process came to
be known as chromatography
