School of Architecture & Design (SA&D), Manipal University Jaipur is dedicated to provide world
class education meeting international standards. It aims to foster creative, innovative and

architecture. SA&D strives for ‘excellence in imparting architectural education and training for

The Courses
1) Under graduate course in architecture
SA&D offers a five year professional course with a focus on ‘creativity and innovation’ in
architecture, leading to Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch.) degree. It is approved by Council of
Architecture (CoA) and is recognized in India and abroad. It is conducted in two stages. The first
stage consists of three years of institutional academic studies. The second stage consists of two
years of professional development including one year of practical training.

2) Doctoral Programmes
Doctoral programmes are offered as full time as well as part time research initiatives of Manipal
University, Jaipur. SA&D offers research guidance for Ph.D. programmes in architecture and related
areas. Scholarships are also given to deserving full time candidates.
Infrastructure and facilities
Besides excellent studios, lecture halls, library, computer lab, digital photography lab, food court,
workshops, construction yard and lush green open environment for interactive learning, the school
will have its USPs as
Climatology lab where the students will have a feel of the climatic parameters as they affect
human comfort.
Architecture lab where students will have a feel of the magnitude and quality of spaces they
design on their drawing boards.
Materials Museum, where students will get necessary data about the materials in the market and
physically see the latest materials and technologies of building construction.
Exhibition hall, where the outstanding work of students will be displayed. Besides sharing the
